I dreamt that I lost several fillings from my teeth. What does this mean?

The fillings I lost were really long and when I pulled them out some of the bone came out with the fillings.

I have looked on the internet, but I can only find what loosing teeth means. And it wasn't my teeth, only the fillings.

Anyone knows?

Thanks.

I dreamt that I lost several fillings from my teeth. What does this mean?
Teeth in a dream are referring to one's speech. Whatever the words were either affected you "to the bone" or affected someone else that way. Fillings could be literally interpreted in the mind as "feelings". So, I would interpret this to mean you have had a recent encounter where someone either hurt your feelings "to the bone" or you hurt theirs that way.

Hope this helped.
Reply:Dreams of that nature as you described foreshadow 'loss' ... but 'NOT' necessarily the loss of "positive" things ... more like your removing 'negative decayed thoughts/aspects' of you life in order to repair and replace the same OR you may indeed suffer some loss ... but it will be salvageable ...

Make your own connections.
Reply:maybe its just a random dream. like finding a fishsicle in your pocket when you realize you didnt have a pocket.

I have had a loose tooth for almost 2 years?

my dentist says its a baby tooth ( im in my 30's ) and it will fall out on its own, i can see the new tooth underneath which is clearly going rotten as obviously i cant get to it to brush it properly. how can i persuade the dentist to pull it out. apart from this she seems like a good dentist and i dont want to change.

I have had a loose tooth for almost 2 years?
Ask, "Why won't you take out the baby tooth?" and get out your B.S. detector. If you think the answer is B.S., go to some else. I can't imagine a good reason for leaving this situation untreated.
Reply:that great
Reply:convice her that if you she doesn't pull the tooth you will go to a another dentist
Reply:you should pull the tooth yourself. thats gross for you to keep it there for almost 2 years. if you don't like that idea, go to another dentist that obviousely knows what they are talking about.
Reply:Just pull the thing out. Otherwise, you will lose it and have to have the adult one removed because it is rotten.
Reply:pull it out yourself
Reply:Won't she pull it out if you ask her.
Reply:You should just tell her the truth in a nice way:)
Reply:Express your concern to your dentist that you would like this tooth taken out and the tooth underneath addressed as well. Have her explain to you her reason(s) and show you the xrays. If you do not feel comfortable with the answers then it would not hurt to get a second opinion. Good luck!
Reply:I would go to another dentist and get a second opinion. You could end up with no tooth there.
Reply:have someone punch u or get dentist to pul it out
Reply:solution....one bottle of vodka..pair of snippers..works all the time..
Reply:You may have gum disease,so get it checked out before it spreads.
Reply:Just ask your dentist to do it.

It would be more productive to discuss it with her directly rather than asking a bunch of strangers on the internet.

How do you keep a loose tooth from falling out?

I'm fourteen and still have one last baby tooth. I'm afraid that if it comes out, I'll have a huge gap for a very long time. It's my right side canine. It's going from moving a little bit to moving more and more everyday.

Is there any way a dentist could move the permanent tooth down faster? Or a way I can hold onto this tooth longer so the permanent will be ready?

How do you keep a loose tooth from falling out?
Whatever you do...don't wiggle it! The more you play with it, the looser it will get! Either way you will have a gap in your mouth...don't sweat it! (If kids at school say anything...be like "yeah some kid was talkin sh** about me so we fought...all I got was a knocked out tooth! -Ya shoulda seen him though!)
Reply:Yay! Thank you! I thought it was funny too :) Report It

Reply:No....
Reply:The best thing is to just get it out and let your tooth start to come through...the longer you try to keep that baby tooth in there the bigger risk there is that it'll cause your adult tooth to come in crooked. And sorry hun, there is no way to speed it up.
Reply:I don't know why you'd want to stop it...and 14 seems kinda old for that...are you sure it's a baby tooth?
Reply:no its gonna look like crap for awhile get over it we all went threw it
Reply:There shouldn't be a "Large Gap" for over 2 days.

If its loose, the adult tooth is coming in, let it come out
Reply:no u just cant
Reply:dont move it.although I WOULD get it off.but if you dont want it gone than leave it alone
Reply:It's loose because it has to make way for the adult tooth. There's a reason for this...if you try to keep the tooth in for too long, the adult tooth will come in crooked. A gap is only temporary...the crooked tooth will be permanent. Let it come out.
Reply:The baby tooth will fall out eventually by the adult tooth behind it. Its pushing it out. But I think that takes a while. Just dont touch the baby tooth and you're good.
Reply:the permanent tooth can't come in until the baby tooth falls out. Just let it fall out. Talk to your dentist about it if you are concerned.
Reply:Use super glue.
Reply:ice might help some. but get ready, its coming out.
Reply:Let nature happen. When that sucker wants to come out, it will. Letting it in there too long could hinder the new tooth from coming in, or cause an infection. Everyone goes through this, it's no biggie.
Reply:you shouldn't prolong a tooth from falling out, you are 14...generally people lose all their baby teeth around 12. It's your bodies way of getting rid of it, if you hold onto it you could actually cause the permanent tooth to be crooked...now go eat an apple :-)
Reply:get a heavy contruction hammer and let your dad take a few swats at your head. that did the trick for me
Reply:it is actually bad if the permanent tooth grows in before the baby one falls out.

the canine teeth can become crooked and snaggle like so you really should let the tooth fall out when it wants to.
Reply:All baby teeth come out eventually, it's is just a matter of time before a tooth takes it spot. The gap won't be there for that long of a time. Even if there was a way to keep down a tooth from falling, I don't recommend it. Might as well just lose your last baby tooth and have a adult one grow in.
Reply:I lost a few of my teeth when i was like 13, mainly my canines. Theres nothing dentists can do. Just lose the teeth and the permanent ones will grow within a year, its not that bad.
Reply:No the dentist cannot do that. But I guess it will work to try to keep it there longer. Don't chew hard stuff, don't wiggle it, and be careful with it. (I'm afraid you cannot avoid having the gap completely.)
Reply:don't mess with at at all...don't even think about it

but i think it would be better to just get it over with and deal with the gap it problly won't even look bad

*good luck! :)*
Reply:i wish but...................... NO
Reply:Hold it in until you're ready. Nah just joking.

Deciduous teeth, otherwise known as milk teeth, baby teeth, temporary teeth or primary teeth, are the first set of teeth in the growth development of humans and many other mammals. They develop during the embryonic stage of development and erupt — that is, they become visible in the mouth — during infancy. They are usually lost and replaced by permanent teeth, but in the absence of permanent replacements, they can remain functional for many years. They're supposed to come out when they're ready.
Reply:sorry 2 say this but lifes touf

let it go

i gues u havent machured yet because most people 14 i know lost there teeth ages ago

good luck with whatever you do
Reply:MY MOTHER HAD SOFT TEETH AND WOULD USE HOT WAX TO HOLD THEM. A LITTLE KNOWN TRICK!!
Reply:You need to pull it. If you leave it in too long, the big tooth won't have room to come in. I did this! I was about the same age, it was my canine tooth. It grew in on the top of my gums! I looked like a vampire and had to get it fixed with braces.
Reply:you should let nature take its course. teeth grow in quite quickly and although u may have a small gap there for a while its nothing to be embarassed about or anything.
Reply:WHAT WHAT WHAT losing a tooth that's all your afraid of think of bigger problems in life like helping the poor. Why do you care about losing a tooth!
Reply:Its going to come out one way or another.....
Reply:sure just put some duct tape on it
Reply:Let nature takes its course. The reason it is getting loose is that the permanent tooth is coming down.

You are going to be fine!!!!

Wtf is up with my teeth....?

is it normal to get a loose tooth at the age of 17?... im not sure if i've lost it before when i was younger... any ideas wat might be goign on?... :(

Wtf is up with my teeth....?
yep its normal!

i was 17 about to turn 18 when i got my braces and they had to pull of my baby teeth cos they weren't looking like they were going to come out anytime soon!

not everyone loses all of their baby teeth young. just go to the dentist and get him to check that it actually is a baby tooth and there is one underneath to replace it.
Reply:Of course it is. You can get lose teeth all through your teens.
Reply:NO!

you should have lost all your baby teeth by now.

It will probably not grow back.

did you get hit in the mouth?
Reply:No

Its not possible to loose teeth at 17. Unless you smoke, have rotten teeth ( and dont brush them) , or get hit in the mouth they are some reasons the way you could loose your tooth ( teeth) You should not loose teeth at 17
Reply:You should go speak with a dentist and get their opinion because I believe that is not normal.

Most people teeth and/or tooth is loose because another one is trying to grow in what ever spot the tooth is loose in.

For example, my two front teeth are loose because one of my adult teeth are trying to grow betwween them and the reason that that adult tooth is there in my gums is because a baby tooth did not come out. Basically, talk to you dentist.
Reply:yes it is you people! everyone is different. Just becuase you lost all your teeth at 10 doesn't mean it's like that for the rest of the world. geeze, ignorant much!?

but yeah, don't worry. It is probably a baby tooth, I mean, can't you tell by what it looks like? you can loose teeth very late like little ol me ( :
Reply:Where is the loose tooth?? The last teeth you lose as a child are your molers (the larger teeth at the back). They tend to come out around the age of 12 or so. But maybe yours have just taken their time. See the link :http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/...

Maybe you could describe which tooth it is??

Does it look smaller that your other teeth?? As you still may have a 'baby' tooth which may indicate that you don't have any adult teeth below it so it has never been pushed out. This is really common and often genetic so ask your parents, aunty's, uncles, older cousins, or older siblings if they have this genetic condition called Hypodontia.

Other reasons whould include:

- decay, but you don't mention that it hurts.

- damage to the root of the tooth, by impact however the tooth usually discolors.

- If it is the last molar at the back of your mouth it may be due yo your wisdom tooth (3rd molar) erupting.

If you are still worried about it I would suggest a trip to the dentist..

Keep smiling :-)

It sounds like you either:

1. have an unusual arrangement of your teeth, so space in your mouth is compromised leading to delayed eruption.

2. Have hypodontia, and so you still have a 'baby' tooth.

I would recommend going to your dentist as they will be able to put your mind at rest, as it could just be simple gum inflammation, which can be treated with good oral hygiene and good brushing technique. I hope you get a diagnosis. soon...
Reply:yes i think it is my sister is 33 and has lost one of her molars the dentist just said her teeth were late in developing but if i was you i would check with you dentist

It sounds like you have periodontitis, if this is the case talk to your Dr about seeing a specialist (periodontist-gum specialist). In the mean time brush and floss your teeth like mad.
Reply:eventually your loose tooth will come out. possibly by eating or that day will just come.

I pulled my loose tooth out just now. There is some sort of red, wiggly thing hanging from my gums?

Does anyone know what this is? It's kind of shaped like a canine (which was the tooth which fell out), but wiggly and red. Anyone know what it is? The tooth probably fell pre maturely, since my pre molar wanted to grow further.

there is nothing wrong

it was the nerve and blood vessels that went to your old tooth.

it will fall of on its own in a day or two

Reply:Jaysus. That's your vas.

My doc pulled mine down when he tied it. Went through my throat.

Reply:That's normal. It's just the nerves and roots from your old tooth. It'll be gone in a couple of days.
Reply:umm that would be the nerve, you need to go to the dentist.

it has been a week and i was wondering if i go to the dentist tomorrow will my tooth be ok

I have a loose tooth from a fall and it has been a week since this happen will my tooth be ok?
You should have gone in when it happened. One of two things can happen now: it will firm back up and nothing will happen, or you killed it/broke the root...in which case it will die and have to come out.
Reply:Hi,

You can take the help from expert dentist or you can go through online consultation. For this have to search on internet for online consultation provider. But if you want to go directly then you can visit http://www.simplyanswer.com

that provides online consultation.

Its totally depand on you or consult with your family doctor
Reply:Hi,

After a fall, a tooth usually is loosen due to localized inflammation in the trauma area. It often will stabilized by itself and firmed up after 14 days (two weeks). If the tooth continue to inflammed after two weeks, there might be an occlusal interference occur and can be resolved with a quick reduction of the contact area, easily done by your dentist. Your tooth should not have any more pain at this time. Sometimes the trauma will kill the nerve of the tooth, which cause the tooth to be darken. If occur, it will happen in about the second to third months. There will be no pain except that the cyst will start to form at the apex. Upon diagnosis, the root canal therapy will be performed. Unless the tooth is evulsed (completely detached) from the socket, loose tooth usually reattached and healed itself without any problem. My advice for you is wait at least two three months before making the decision to have the root canal done. If the tooth is not darkened, leave it alone. Hope my answer can be helpful to you.

I have a loose tooth, it's out, but it's connected to a red wiggly thing and won't come out?!?

will it come out on it's own?

it's the tooth on my left next to my front buck tooth, it doesn't hurt at all, only when i try to pull it.

I have a loose tooth, it's out, but it's connected to a red wiggly thing and won't come out?!?
If this were the nerve or pulp to this lateral tooth and it was the only thing holding the tooth in place, which isn't possible, you would be in incredible pain all the time, not just when you touch the tooth.

I don't know what condition your teeth are in, or how old you are but I am guessing young. I can presume this is a baby tooth with some tissue attachment from what you've described. It also needs to come out.

Take some ice and hold it on the tissue around the tooth to numb the tissue for a few minutes, then with a thin towel, grab the tooth and pull it downward with one quick yank.

You won't bleed to death and it will feel much better once removed.

Please don't listen to these people, it's only a tissue tag holding the tooth, just ice to numb and pull straight down. It can be over in a few seconds, or if you baby it, this could take hours.

I wish that the people who "don't know" what the answer is, would not give "any advice" or their idea of what is obviously an incorrect answer. Some of these answers are absolutely ridiculous, so please don't take them seriously.

Additional information: It doesn't hurt when you inhale because it's not the nerve that is still attached, it's a tissue tag. You should ask your parents to look at this and take you to your dentist if necessary.
Reply:its just some of your gum

i used to pull the tooth out like that all the time

it only hurts for like a minute
Reply:omg go to ur dentist asap taht red thing is blood vessel, if u pull it u'll keep bleeding and u might pull it the wrong way too, just go to ur dentist!
Reply:that is the nerve still attached it may fall out but you should goo to the dentest. Expecilly if when you inhale if it hurts that means the nerve is exposed.
Reply:OMG!!!!!!! Seek immediate medical attention.. don't pull anymore I swear you will bleed to death~!
Reply:It's the nerve and sometimes when these things are pulled out they do bleed alot. The dentist has to remove it and clean out the nerve cavity so you don't get an infection. They scrape out what's called nerve pulp.

Quick fix for my loose tooth?

My tooth is really really lose and its almost out, it hurts really really bad so do you have any way of pulling out a tooth without pain? and no trips to the dentist. I'm 13 so its still a baby tooth.

Quick fix for my loose tooth?
You could use a paper towel/tissue/or gauze to get a good hold on the tooth. Put the paper towel over the tooth and with your thumb and index finger get a good grip on the tooth (kind of like you are pinching it real hard) and work it until you remove it. You might just want to work with it while you sit and watch t.v. because that will distract you a little.

It will be more painful wiggling it because of the sharpness of the tooth on the gums, but you will notice a sudden relief of pain once you have removed the tooth.

You just have to be brave for a second and really get it out and you will find that it will be okay.
Reply:Okay so my stepdad has a loose tooth he put supeglue on it and has never had a problem with it.....gross much?
Reply:close ur eyes nd pull, just grit it out, if its that loose it should just pop out
Reply:This worked for me every time just flick your tooth with your tounge alot or twist it with your finger until it hurts a little then reverse the direction!
Reply:i know you said you dont want to go to the dentist, but if you knew that he'd pull the tooth out and you'd be out of your misery in no time at all? i'd def go!
Reply:A baby tooth has little or no roots. There is no pain when it comes out. It's being pushed out by another tooth so let it come out by itself or eat peanut brittle.
Reply:I am dealing with the same exact thing right now! What I do is that if it is loose enough to move with your tongue, then push it hard with your tongue in the directions that it feels comfortable moving. Don't push the tooth so hard that you hurt yourself, but if it is that loose, you can repeatedly wiggle it with your tongue and it should get looser and come out.

Be careful and good luck, hope this helps!

My dog's healthy but his front tooth is loose & wiggling, yet firmly attached in the gums when i tug on it?

My dog is healthy and I brush his teeth. But today I checked and his front tooth was loose. It wiggles back and forth and is dropped down a little lower than the rest of his front teeth. I tried pulling on it, but it seems firmly attached in the gum. Will it heal on its own or should i have it pulled? He's a chiuaua and jack russel mix.

My dog's healthy but his front tooth is loose %26amp; wiggling, yet firmly attached in the gums when i tug on it?
if hes young hes probably just losing his teeth (dogs actually do that) but if hes older then a year you should have him checked out by the vet just in case
Reply:how old is the Dog?

Puppy will loose milk teeth.

Older dog, leave it for a few days, do not wiggle, watch for infection. In a week cheek it for wiggles if so see vet.
Reply:Do not tug on it, there is a good chance he loosened it through some type of injury(chewing or bumping into something) and given time it will heal. Pulling on it could loosen it more. Observe and continue to clean his teeth but be more gentle in the area of that tooth. If after a week it hasn't healed, take him to the vet. Feeding him a softer food, canned or adding warm water or low salt chicken broth to his kibble may help too.
Reply:Leave it alone. Dogs in the wild can't go to a dentist, so therefore they take care of things on their own. If he stops eating, then I would check into it, if not, let him run wild!

Good Luck.

Gum disease and an abscess tooth that is loose...?

Help! Don't know what to do but I'm sure that I have gum disease stemming from 5 years back. All of my research indicates that I got it while pregnant with my first daughter. I cracked a molar too during that pregnancy. So now that all of that has happened I never went to the dentist because I was either pregnant or didn't have insurance. Now the tooth is loose and I can't chew down on it. It formed some sort of (what I think is an,) abscess on my gums. I can see the signs of my gum wearing away to expose my teeth too, suggesting the worst stage of gum disease. I didn't know all of this until I started researching. Is there a dentist on here that can inform me of what I have to look forward too? I'm terrified of the dentist, it's part of the reason I never went.

Gum disease and an abscess tooth that is loose...?
Your research almost certainly has told you what you have to look forward to if you don't get treatment, and it ain't good. There are dentists that specialize in sedation dentistry, that's one way of dealing with your fears. You go to sleep in the dentist's office and wake up with the repairs and cleaning done. Hypnotism is another potential solution. Doing nothing will definitely make things worse. You also need to start practicing good gum hygiene, including waterpicking below the gumline with a fine rubber-tip nozzle.
Reply:i am not a dentist but if you live near stronsgville ohio i have an excellant dr. you will love i am terrified of dentists too but you really need to have this taken care of let me know and i will give you his name i have to look it up or i would give it to you now but i am at work now

Dog loose tooth?

my chihuahua cious tooth is just hanging there and it looks painful what should i do??

Dog loose tooth?
If he's a puppy and young this is normal. I remember one of our cats actually lost one of her teeth like a child would, and I remember the vet saying it was normal. For the dog, I'd make sure she was comfortable and give her lots of water, and give her soft food.
Reply:How old is the dog? if it is a pup this may be the natural process of losing the baby or milk teeth. If the dog is older and it is the adult teeth you are speaking of, you need to take the dog to a vet immediately.
Reply:well first of all its natrual to take it to the vet when this happens to older dogs but puppies sometimes loose teeth but if you think it hurts him take him to the vet and see what they can do
Reply:This is normal. Just leave it there and let your dog take care of it. Don't pull on it, because it's obviously still attached. Most of the time, you don't notice dog's baby teeth falling out because they swallow the old ones and the new ones grow in really fast- sometimes the next day they sprout up. It might bleed some, just like when kids lose their teeth, but mostly it's not painful. Remember when you lost your teeth? It didn't really hurt. Same thing for him.

Would loosing teeth make my dog throw up?

My min pin that's about 6 months was throwing up yesterday all of his food then wouldn't eat at all... When i went to clean up his throw up I noticed he had a tooth in it. and later saw he had another one in his bed.... would this make his sick to his stomach or do you think he ate something like a weed or something that made him sick???

Would loosing teeth make my dog throw up?
He probably ate some grass or something. Loosing teeth would not make him vomit. Keep an eye on him, if he is still vomiting tomorrow, or if his vomiting becomes more frequent, or if there is blood in his vomit, call your vet.
Reply:Well, He probably just ate something or too much of something. If your area has alot of cicadas,he most likely ate too many of them. My dogs have had 8 litters altogether, and none of the puppies have thrown up from teething. hope it helps :D

Help pulling teeth?

my little sister has a loose tooth that just wont come out. How can i get it out without hurting her or using too much force?

Help pulling teeth?
just because its loose doenst mean its ready to come out! But if your persistent in pulling it... try putting orajel around it. It numbs a little.
Reply:if u tryin pulling it gently and it dont come then its not ready to come out yet,
Reply:Perhaps have her bite into an apple/pear

or just let it fall by itself it should eventually..sometimes in her sleep
Reply:Have her take a Tylenol or put some orajel on it to numb and just pull it out.
Reply:this is wat i always did to mine tell her to sit there and twist it for like a min and then try puling on it then try the twisting again but just keep doing that i usually got mine out as soon as they were loose by doing that
Reply:It isn't a good idea to pull the tooth out. It isn't ready if it won't come with a gentle pull. If you pull it out the new tooth can grow in crooked.

go see your dentist he will adminster a pain killer and take the tooth out if necessary. sometimes teeth can be saved by bonding it back in place. DONT TRY THIS AT HOME.

Can any one tell me why I dream I'm loosing my teeth?
a recurring sense of loss
Reply:GET your teeth checked
Reply:I do not necessarily believe these things, but this is what "they" say about dreams involving teeth.

~ Can't get your teeth into something: You have little control over the situation.

~ Losing your teeth: This has to do with loss in general, such as loss of youth and anxiety about getting older. Some say it represents death.

~ Rotten tooth: This is a symbol of painful feelings that will keep aching until you find relief. This may be related to a problem in a relationship or having said some hurtful words to someone.

~ Bleeding gums: This indicates a loss of life force through lack of support from those around you.

~ False teeth: This represents a fear of losing your sense of true self, that is a loss of honesty and integrity.
Reply:I read somewhere it means you fear you are lacking or losing power/strength/courage.
Reply:Wow! I've had many dreams of the same thing. I dream that all my teeth fall out. I looked it up in a dream dictionary and this is what it said:

Teeth

To dream that you have rotten or decaying teeth, forewarns that your health and/or business is in jeopardy. You may have uttered some false or foul words and those words are coming back to haunt you.

To dream that you are brushing your teeth, signifies your level of confidence, struggles and aggressiveness. You need to look out for yourself and your own interest.

Hope its of some help to you.
Reply:You've got to stop watching the "Tooth Beaver" episode on Ren %26amp; Stimpy.
Reply:true story: i had this dream a couple weeks ago and it puzzled me. i told my housemate and she looked it up on the computer on some site and it suggested that i go to the doctor because it meant something was wrong. she didn't know this, but earlier that day, i did go to the doctors because i wasn't feeling well. he told me i had bronchitis! i was disbelief!
Reply:I have these dreams sometimes, sometimes they mean nothing, other times it means you should see a dentist.

It can also be that you do something to your teeth while sleeping such as grinding them that subconsciously transfers into your dreams. Think of it like if someone was whispering in your ear while you were dreaming so you dream about being whispered to. Or you lay on your arm funny and dream your arm is sluggish.

So to be safe, get your teeth looked at by a dentist(it's not that much), maybe get a cleaning(they could be annoyed by plaque buildup). Then you can rest easy and dream of bunnies again.
Reply:I dont really have an answer for your question, but if it helps, I have these same dreams and its usually weekly. In your dream can u feel the teeth coming out. Like u can feel the pain and u are touching them hanging in your mouth and ur freakin out. But, theres nothing u can do. And it happens so often that u just forget about in in the morning. Mine have been happening for about 6 months now or longer. So, I would really love to know an answer to this one too. If you would like to compare notes then email me at courtney_nicole2006@hotmail.com I would be glad to tal to someone who is having the same problem to see if its just a norma thing. Also maybe our age has something to do with it. Im 19 so maybe ur around the same age I am. Hopefully. Hope I could help.

My 4 year old son's tooth is loose.?

How long does it take for the big teeth to come in after he loses the tooth? Also isn't this kinda early, he did get his 1st tooth at 3 months though. Also after the 1st tooth falls out when do the others start getting loose and falling out?

Thanks!

My 4 year old son's tooth is loose.?
Yes, it's pretty young, but it isn't bad. Most kids are around six, but if he got his teeth early it only make sense that he could lose them early too. Normally teeth start to grow back but take a while. It will just be a little white bump pushing through his gums. Other teeth may or may not follow this early one, they are all different. Did he ever hit it??? Anyway, it's not a big deal because he'll get a permanent one.
Reply:my six year old lost her first tooth in December, her adult tooth was poking thru already,so thats coming in..and the tooth next to that is wiggly, and the top two teeth are getting there also

has he seen a dentist?
Reply:It can start early, like in your son, and last until 12-13ish. Every child, and tooth even, take a different amount of time to come in after the baby tooth falls out. Sometimes you can see the tooth, pushing the baby out, sometimes not. Just chill, this is going to take some time to rid him of baby teeth.
Reply:It's definately normal as in 'not abnormal'. I've seen 4 year olds with several teeth missing and 6 year olds with a mouth full of their baby teeth. We're all different! My son lost his first tooth 3 months ago. His new tooth has already grown in yet he hasn't lost another one. That's my experience so far!
Reply:Isn't this your first child? If so, congratulation! Make sure to keep the 1st tooth and store in a mini plastic bag and keep with your baby memory book. I did with all of my children. It is fun to look back and read them and see how much your children has grown.

It is not too early. You will see a new tooth coming out within 4 weeks. My children had their 1st tooth coming out age between 3-6yrs old. Every child is different. My oldest lost all baby teeth by age 11 but my 2nd had all by age 9 so there is no alarm.

Enjoy your motherhood!
Reply:anytime all childern are differnt my brother didnt loose his first tooth till he was 6 i lost my last tooth at 11
Reply:The earlier a child gets his or her baby teeth the earlier the permanant teeth will come in.

I had two foster children and neither one lost their first baby tooth until they were each 8 years old. I asked the dentist about the fact that they hadn't lost any of their baby teeth. He said if the earlier they get their baby teeth the earlier they would loose them.

Also as a side note, they typically loose their teeth in the same order in which the baby teeth came in.

My daughter just had her 5 year old dental visit. They took xrays and we could see her permanant teeth coming in. Our dentist does not start taking xrays until the child is 5 years old. She does not have any loose teeth yet but the dentist said within the next twelve months or so (give or take a few months) she should get her first loose tooth. At eleven months my daughter got her first tooth. Within a month she had two more coming in. She was almost three before she got her two year molars. She will be at least 6 before she looses her first tooth. If you look at the physical development it makes perfect sense that a child who got their first baby tooth at 3 months would also loose them at a younger age.

I wouldn't be to concerned about it. If your son has not seen a dentist (I am assuming he has) definately take him in. If he does see a dentist regularly, you might want to ask the dentist if he could do zrays due to the early loss of his first tooth.

Loose tooth?

My daughter's tooth is about to fall out. (her first one)

it is basically hanging by a thread. Should I pull it, or just wait for it to fall out??

Loose tooth?
Give her a choice. She might just choose to pull it out. My daughter is 5 and she still hasn't lost any, so I would let her pull it out herself.
Reply:pull it!!! sometimes if you don't then the tooth will take much longer to come out. my younger brother threw such a fit that my mom left it there and his tooth turned black. it was nasty. doesn't sound like it will take much to get it out....just pull it
Reply:If she will let you pull it, then pull it. Otherwise she might swallow it. Encourage her to pull it herself. Make a big deal out of it with her and tell her how brave she is and how it will help the big tooth to grow in that much faster. You can also tell her that it won't hurt near as much once it's out as it does now wobbling around in her gum.
Reply:OUr 5 year old had a tooth that was just hanging there, we told her we could pull it or she could wait, we let her decide. In the end after she decided to wait it hung on for two more days and she was sick of eating and having it hurt so she asked us to pull it out. The same thing happened with her second tooth.

I would say let her decide what she wants done and just let her know you are willing to pull it if she wants it out.
Reply:Just pull it.

It won't hurt her and I bet she's annoyed by how loose it is.
Reply:Have her eat and it will fall out. try a piece of bread? If it hurts you can pull it out, hold it with a cold washcloth thats wet, and it comes out without her even knowing, you put your fingers close to gums and pinch and it drops out easy into the cloth in your hands, it will bleed a little so add a cold washcloth and little pressure to her blank spot. I have 3 kids who are still losing their teeth! 8, 10 and 13. The front teeth are the ROUGH ONES! top!
Reply:pull it this wont harm anything, and if you tell her it wont hurt to trust you she will be scared at first but she will be amazed that it did not hurt and will be over so quick. this will also help her to trust you in other situations its a good lesson on trust
Reply:pull it, it doesnt hurt at all. and if u dont then she could swallow it!
Reply:Pull it out.
Reply:let it fall out on its own, if you are worried it will fall out when she is in bed or something, have her take a bite out of an apple.... that is what i did for my son...... and it came right out!!
Reply:well you should ask her
Reply:If the tooth is bothering her, let her pull it out herself! If it's literally hanging by a thread, it should come out with no resistance and no pain. It'll cause her more annoyance in than any discomfort it might cause coming out. Just put her in front of a mirror and let her tug it--she'll probably cherish the experience!
Reply:well u should pull it because sometimes it will take longer 4 it to come out. besides it won't hurt!

WHAT age do you stop having canine teeth come out?

IM ALMOST IN HIGH SCHOOL,AND MY TOOTH IS LOOSE,AND WHEN IT COMES OUT,EVERYBODY COULD SEE THE SPACE.ARENT I A LITTLE OLD FOR LOOSE TOOTH?

WHAT age do you stop having canine teeth come out?
The average age to loose an upper canine is 11-12, a lower canine is 9-11. But everyone loses teeth at a different rate. The permanent tooth should come in fairly quickly though, within a few months, typically.

Is it normal to have a bottom front tooth come loose....?

before the top two teeth come loose and fall out?

My daughter is a little over 5yrs and the tooth is loose. She didn't experience any injury to knock it loose and she just realized it before lunch time today. I always thought that the top two teeth went first.

Is it normal to have a bottom front tooth come loose....?
According to my mother (a dental hygeniest), the bottom two teeth are always the first to go, then the top two.

She says it really irks her that all the books she sees about kids with their first loose tooth show one of the top teeth loose because it's easier to make the illustration that way, but it's wrong!
Reply:Actually, I think it's a little more common for the bottom to be the first to go (first to grow are the first to go).

Either way, I don't think it matters. If she's about the age when she would lose teeth (and she is), and she says nothing hit it or anything, she's fine.
Reply:My neice lost her two bottom teeth first. I think it's just like when they are teething...they can come in in any order, and can fall out in any order.
Reply:My daughter lost her bottom teeth first. The dentist told me they will fall out in the order they came in.

How to pull a loose without acutally pulling it?

ok so this may sound kind of dumb but ive had a loose tooth for like 5 years. i have quote unquote vampire syndrome and it hurts like hell id try pulling it harder and harder but it hurts to bad. so i wait and it kind of tightens up and i have to start all over again but this time i can push the tooth all the way back so that it touches my gums. can anyone help?

How to pull a loose without acutally pulling it?
Go to the dentist..

It may be an adult tooth.

Why would you want to pull out an adult tooth!??

They don't grow back!

The dentist may denticement/glue your tooth back into your gum or pull it out.

Loose tooth on an older cat?

He is eating on the right side of his mouth only, he hasn't meowed in two days (he's a talker!), and he is leaving puddles of foamy spittle around the house. Because he has been known to eat the dogs' dry food, I suspect he broke or loosened up a tooth. Anyone have this problem before? Do the symptoms sound right?

Loose tooth on an older cat?
Hi Mickey...sounds like your cat will be soon evaluated this coming weekend for loosend tooth. Periodontal disorders of the teeth and gums are common with aging cats either from diet, age, accidental chewing of hard objects, etc.

Here are a couple web articles by Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine for Feline Health about feline periodontal disorders and how they are treated and the effects it causes (e.g. bad breath, foamy drooling, etc):

http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/news/badB...

http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/news/dent...
Reply:It could be. Are you able to look into his mouth and find out if it is broken? It could be broken or just decaying. Either way, he'll probably need to have it removed. It could become infected and that could cause different problems.
Reply:The tooth may be loose, and even if it got lose from chawing on a dog treat, there's something wrong that needs to be fixed.

Most cats have gingivitis and most older cats have it to a significant degree. As in humans, gingivitis results in bone loss and loose teeth.

Kitty may be in serious pain with that bad tooth. It probably needs to come out, and when the vet puts him under to extract it, I'll bet s/he'll find more teeth that need to come out.

Please get kitty to a vet for some dental work. He could very well be in pain. Not eating on that side of his mouth, not "talking" and drooling spittle all suggest pain.
Reply:It could be , but maybe he just needs dental work done.....teeth cleaning etc. Your vet would be able to tell, and if there is a loose tooth or an abscessed tooth he would be able to pull it and give the proper medication if there is infection.
Reply:Take him to the vet - sounds like bad tooth of sore gums- the foamy spittle means he may be gagging a bit but it could be a combination of things. He has given you a lot of pleasure as a young cat and kitten, now you owe him, I am sure you love him and now he is getting on a bit he needs a bit of help, believe me he will be his old self once the vet has sorted him.
Reply:It probably is a bad tooth. Take him to your vet soon because if it continues, the tooth can become infected and you could loose your cat.
Reply:Yup, that sounds like a messed up tooth. Get the poor kitty to a vet immediately! They'll probably gas the cat up or give him light tranquilizers and pull the tooth. Imagine if you were in his shoes and you couldn't tell anyone what was wrong, you couldn't drive yourself to a dentist, you couldn't pick up a phone and call a dentist, and it hurts every time you even move your head. Kitty is probably miserable and hungry. Even if he's still eating on the other side, I bet it's not as much as he used to eat.

Take the poor guy to the vet, please!
Reply:its very normal ..but i would also suggest taking you'r cat to the vet..

At what age do children begin losing there baby teeth?

My son is four (will be 5 in August), and has a loose tooth. Barely loose, but loose. Is this too early? About a year ago he hit this tooth when he and his father were playing, and it has always been a little darker than the rest. Any information is appreciated.

At what age do children begin losing there baby teeth?
There will be another to take it's place, dont worry. My daughter had 2 front teeth accidently knocked out at 5 and one recently just grew in at age 7 1/2.
Reply:I don't think that is too early. All children are different. My daughter started losing hers about 5. I have heard it depends on if they got their teeth early or late but I don't know how true that is. That tooth could have been slightly injured from hitting it but his new one should come in fine. Good luck to you.
Reply:My daughter started losing her baby teeth at 4. Just make sure that a dentist checks out your son to see if his permanent tooth has any trauma to it.
Reply:I was concerned myself when my 3rd child started losing her teeth at 5. Her siblings were 6 and 7 when they lost their first teeth but I checked with our dentist and he said it was fine. She's 10 now and STILL losing teeth!! I'm concerned all over again! :)
Reply:My neice is just barely 5 and she had all ready lost 2 teeth...so i think it is more normal than anything...Good Luck!
Reply:My son accidentally knocked a tooth out at 5. Immediately after that they started falling out left and right. His dentist said that it was perfectly normal. Every child is different, but I wouldn't worry if I was you.
Reply:My son started to loose his teeth just before his fifth b-day, it's normal.
Reply:5 or 6, my oldest boys just lost his first tooth and he is 6, but he had a full grown tooth coming in behind it already. He has 3 others that are very loose.
Reply:My son lost his first tooth when he was 6. But just like babies get teeth in at different ages......kids lose them at different ages. I you are concerned I would take him to a dentist for a check up.

I've been eating pineapples lately to loose weight. But will I end up loosing a tooth if i ate too much?

My mom told me her workmates who ate too much pinepples ( they lived near DelMonte) ended up loosing all their teeth

I've been eating pineapples lately to loose weight. But will I end up loosing a tooth if i ate too much?
no you won't lose your teeth by eating too much pineapple.

what you heard was a old housewives tail.

I wouldn't listen to that.
Reply:Follow with flossing and regular dental care and you'll be ok.

I "pig" out on pineapples for about 35 years and have never lost a tooth.

What is the normal age for a child to start loosing their teeth? And is it usually top or bottom first?

My daughter is 4 and her top front tooth is loose. I know everyone is different but her sister did not lose her first tooth until she was 6 and it was on the bottom. Just wanting some answers to find out if it is normal or if I should contact her dentist.

What is the normal age for a child to start loosing their teeth? And is it usually top or bottom first?
The usual tooth to lose first is a lower central incisor and this is usually lost at age 5 or 6. The upper teeth come a few months later, if your child read the textbook. (haha) 4 years and 0 months is kind of early to lose any tooth without a reason and I think this warrants a visit to the dentist to see what's going on.
Reply:i started losing mine at the old age of three but then i was in a auto accident
Reply:I remember that I lost my first tooth when I was around 4 or 5. So it should be perfectly normal. I think that I lost my bottom teeth first, but it doesn't matter which one comes out first. They'll grow back again, all the same. Hopefully the tooth fairy visits your daughter :)
Reply:no- she is fine. it really does vary... I would just wait untill her next dentist visit
Reply:6-7
Reply:I was around 4 when I started losing teeth. I lost top first, but every kid is different about that. Unless there is evidence of an injury causing it, there is no need to get a dentist involved. Just get ready for a visit from the tooth fairy!
Reply:It's normal. I lost my first teeth when I was four. So did my daughter, but hers were the bottoms.

My son was five when he lost his first ones (on top)

I wouldn't worry too much about it.
Reply:it is usually 6 or 7 i thought but i would just ask her dentist but since it is not an adult tooth just ask him but do not be really that much concerned bc it also just a baby tooth but just ask just incase it is more then that.
Reply:Well, for my son, he lost his top teeth when he was 5. Every child are different so maybe she is little early than others. Like my son, he started to had his first tooth when he was 3 month!!
Reply:Between 6 and 8 is about normal for starting to lose. (possible to be early or later though) They usually fall out in the same order they came in. Usually bottom first. I didn't lose any though until after I was 10 and the dentist pulled some to jump start the rest getting loose.
Reply:It's a year early but I wouldn't fret over it. Nice little tooth fairy stories yay! Just make sure her teeth gets taken care of and flossed and cleaned... and make sure she doesn't get any habits that might shift the movement of her teeth such as sucking on thumbs, etc. aaawwww how cute! It's normal I think.

:)
Reply:If she has not bumped her mouth don't worry about it. The permanent tooth is just pushing to get out causing the baby tooth to loosen up. Like you said everyone is different.
Reply:I was 4 or 5. I remember my bottom tooth was loose and my mom tied a string around it and tied the other end to a doornob and slammed the door shut. Ah, typical 80s parenting. ;) That was a joke.

Anyway, your daughter seems to be the right age for a loose tooth.

I think my tooth is loose?

I have braces. On the top of my left hand side of my mouth the back tooth just on the left hurts really bad and i can't bite down. this has been going on for 3 months. 2 appointments ago at my orthodontist. he told me i probably got food under my gum. Well, Wouldn't it have gone away by now? it really bothers me. do you think it might be loose? (my regular cleaning dentist told me that i lost all my baby teeth.) Help!???!

I think my tooth is loose?
i really dont think its loose, because it takes alot to make a permanent tooth loose. i woud ask the orthodontist again though if i were you.

Loose Tooth!!!?

I have a really wiggly tooth that I want to get out right now to get some money from the tooth fairy and to get it out of my mouth!Any techniechs to get it out?

Loose Tooth!!!?
Here's what always worked for me:

a)continuously wiggle the tooth with your tongue whenever possible

b)wiggle vigorously back and fourth about 15 times

c)twist and rotate the tooth until it comes out

If it gets too bloody while you're wiggling it, use a tissue over your fingers. Once the tooth is out bite down on a wet cotton ball or tissue to control the bleeding.

Good luck! :)
Reply:Yes!Its out and I have $2! Report It

Reply:Put the fingernail of your thumb and pointer finger underneath the tooth, grasp tightly and either twist or pull it up quickly. Or you can do the same with a piece of cotton gauze to have a little more stability because teeth are slippery. I am assuming this is a baby tooth.
Reply:wat i always did was twist the tooth and it would come loose

My tooth is loose but not sure if I can pull it out?

On the top i have 12 teeth and on the right side second last one. It's starting to get loose and im not sure if it's meant to be pulled out, I don't really even know if I have my 12 year molars yet. Could anyone help?

My tooth is loose but not sure if I can pull it out?
Hmmm. . .if you can't pull it, then just play with it.

Twist it around or go back and forth with it.

It will be fine and it's meant to fall out.

Just give it time.
Reply:Tie a string to it and then other end of the string to the door then shut the door. should come right out

Loosing teeth?

My wife is 28 and is having toothache. she is certain that its a baby tooth. Has anyone else had a baby tooth remain until they were almost 30?

Loosing teeth?
Yes it is normal for some people to have baby teeth throughout their lives.

If an adult tooth fails to erupt or develop then there is no reason for the baby tooth to shed. It remains in the mouth like any other tooth. Obviously these baby teeth aren't designed to last for very long and tend to be softer than normal adult teeth and so need to be looked after extra specially. It is wrong to say that baby teeth have only one root - they can have many.

If someone has a retained baby tooth and starts to suffer toothache, they tend to be very difficult to treat and more often than not eventually require extraction.
Reply:my sister's boyf is 28 in april and He has 4 baby teeth. apparently he was told that baby teeth only really come out coz they are pushed out and if your partner has no adult teeth behind that baby one then unless it is decaying there is no reason for it to come out. the only other thing is that baby teeth only have one root so are weaker and often drop out for that reason. my sis's boyf is lucky coz his baby teeth are large and look like small adult teeth. so yes, she could be right. anyway, toothache is toothache - baby teeth or not it still bloody hurts. I say pull the lot out!
Reply:I know someone of 31 who has one it looks a little funny compared to the others a bit smaller but if having toothache go to the dentist they may take it out or even put a crown on it if it is not bad

Whats the going rate for teeth now?

In other words, my son is getting ready to start loosing teeth, and I need to know how much to give him for each tooth. I don't want him to think the tooth fairy is giving his friends more or less money for their teeth! When I was little it was a silver dollar for each tooth.

Whats the going rate for teeth now?
one buck a tooth is ALL they need. If you want to go the extra mile, get some silver dollars, but keep in mind if you do, its best to be consistant with every tooth lost.. if they get a shiny new silver dollar once, they should get the same everytime.
Reply:back in the 90's it was a dollar...5 now-a-days sounds decent
Reply:Anything more than a dollar is highway robbery.

Reply:come-on mama...now be good to your kid, give'em 10 bucks!!!!
Reply:I believe with inflation were looking at 2 dollars
Reply:I always give my son a dollar--but he got $5 for the tooth he smashed on a picnic table and had to have pulled!!
Reply:2-5 dollars depending on tooth size, and how easily the kid can be fobbed off.
Reply:when I was a kid the "tooth fairy" would leave us the largest coin. for me it was a quarter, for my sister it was a loonie, and for my brother it was a toonie (btw we are Canadian) I figure with the way inflation is going it's up to about $5.00 by now (seeing that I am in my early 30's) so that is what I give my son. I know that it is probably way too much tho!
Reply:my mom used to give me 1 dollar for front teeth, 2 for incisors, and 3 for molars. Now, I would add a dollar to that. making it fun can save you money. If you add a glitter trail (a stream of glitter on the windowsill, down the floor, and to her bed), that makes it more fun and their excitement is over more than just the money.

But it is kind of ridiculous. In my mom's generation, they got a quarter and were happy with it! :)
Reply:where I am most kids get $1-$2 from the tooth fairy. I explained to my kids that I spoke to the tooth fairy and we agreed on a price that I thought was appropriate and that is why they do not get $10 like one of their friends
Reply:$2 at my house.. Molars will be three :D
Reply:our tooth fairy leaves one dollar per tooth unless it has cavities the tooth fairy can't do anything with cavities so then it is only .50. She also leaves fairy dust(sparley glitter) on the pillow.
Reply:We give my son $1.00 per tooth. He's been very happy to get it! We are not stingy with him at all with holidays, etc. When I heard at church the other day that a little girl got $10.00 per tooth, I thought the people were nuts! No wonder kids today want everything and act so spoiled! I teach school and can see who's spoiled a mile away. What's after the ten bucks? $100 for each "A" on the report card? It gets pretty pricey to start so high!
Reply:every parent gives a different amount.......my parents started w/a dollar per tooth...then they kept rising it to 20 dollars

Do you want to lose or loose?

I can't help myself. I have to ask this. I love reading weight loss sites and messages boards. Are any of you shocked that so many people who want to "lose" weight cannot spell the word? They want to "loose" weight. It will never happen, although some of us may have loose skin hanging on our bodies after losing weight.

"Loose" means not securely fastened, such as a loose tooth. Or it can mean having freedom from confinement as in "a lion loose in the streets." Loose can also indicate lacking moral restraint as in "unchaste." On the other hand you can lose weight, lose your money, lose your mind (kidding), lose the love of your life.

The "s" sound in lose sounds like "z." The "s" sound in loose, is a "s" sound.

That's the problem when we have to depend on spelling checks. Both are correct words so will not show up incorrectly.

Do you want to lose or loose?
Yeah, thanks for sharing.

Reply:There's A LOTTTT of peeps who cannot spell. I saw a search term the other day for 'loose waight'

hmmmmmmm......
Reply:My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

My dog's tooth is loose.?

I brush my dogs' teeth several times a week (try to do it everyday but sometimes I forget), but my oldest dog has always resisted teeth brushing as I didn't start brushing her teeth until she was 6 years old. However, her breath has recently become horrible, so I really looked in her mouth and found that her fartherst back molar is quite decalcified and actually loose.

She had her regular vet do her physical last year and she said that while there was a little calculus build-up it wasn't worth putting her under to get her teeth cleaned. Last week she went and got a check-up with a different vet at the practice, who failed to even notice this problem..

She is not showing signs of discomfort, no changes in eating. I am concerned about this leading to kidney/liver problems, and would like it to be removed. Thing is, she is 11 y/o, so I'm really worried about the risks that come with anesthesia.

What should I do?

My dog's tooth is loose.?
This is just my opinion but I wouldn't risk the surgery, at least, not the surgery involved in getting her teeth cleaned. I would try to avoid but still consider having the offending tooth pulled.

My preferred path would be to treat her with antibiotics, topical if possible, and plan/hope that the gum around the tooth firms up as the infection clears up. Since her breath has recently become horrible, that's an excellent indicator that she is indeed suffering from an infection. It could have been caused by something (like a pocorn kernel? a bone shard?) getting lodged in her gum. Anyway, the less treatment the better in my book...or at least, never more than is absolutely necessary - we often exacerbate what Nature can best take care of on its own.

Gums are to teeth as soil is to mountainside trees. Once this has been resolved, consider giving her toys/food/treats that will help toughen up her gums. She'll enjoy them and they'll do her more good than frequent toothbrushing. Your vet will be able to make some informed suggestions...

Good Luck.
Reply:Unless the area around the tooth looks red and inflamed, I would let nature take it's course. If it does look red I would take the dog back to the vet, point out the problem directly and express your concern.
Reply:Take her to the Vet and have her teeth clean. Tell them about the tooth. If it bad have it removed.
Reply:give extra strength fodder and calcium .That does not help : visit your veterinary surgeon .
Reply:Having the deep cleaning is the best option but it is only a temporary fix. I have a rott/chow mix and he is 12 years old his breath is mind blowing. I have done the deep cleaning for 5 years now and it works but not for long. I just made the appointment to have his teeth removed. They can still eat and it really is like an elderly person getting dentures. No, I am not saying that my dog is getting dentures but due to the bacteria and the mouth infections and horriable breath I am going to have the teeth removed. It is not cruel and will give my dog a better quality of for what ever time he has left with me. He is in great shape and very healthy except for the mouth and teeth. He has had the same vet since he was a puppy and I know that putting him under could be dangerous, But I trust his vet completely and I know if he feels that there is something going wrong when he is doing the procedure he will do whats best for my dog.
Reply:Take her to the vet and make sure they inspect this tooth. If it needs to come out that's the best thing to do for her. Because of her age, the vet will do a pre-op blood work-up and let you know then if she has any other problems. They'll also be able to tell you what her risks would be for surgery. That's when you can make an informed decision as to what's best for her. And yes, you're right, if her tooth's bad, it could lead to serious health problems.

My tooth feels loose...?

My back tooth feels loose, but I don't know why. Should I tell my mom? I'm 13, and lost all of my teeth already.

My tooth feels loose...?
Generally your tooth will be loose due to bone loss around the tooth, or you may have some plaque under the gum line that needs to be cleaned out. Sometimes a loose tooth can still be saved if you get to the dentist soon enough. So GOOOO!!

Your wisdom tooth could be coming in under it or could be pushing against it tel your mom now and tel its urgent do not wait a month get to the Dr. Now !!!
Reply:yes its not molars?
Reply:Well it could possible be a cavity or something like that.Like if you do brush daily and b/s like that it could actaully cause cavities but any who yeah I would tell your mom because you dont wanna be 16 and look like you 60 with out no teeth.I mean she'll hopeful take you to the dentist and so on and so forth.
Reply:tell your mom and go to dentist
Reply:Yes, tell her right away! I have so many problems with my teeth, as a result of fear of the dentist, (they once pulled the wrong tooth, and I avoided them for so long after, that I have had to have serveral pulled now). Did you have your wisdom teeth removed? It could be one of those, and generally, they have to come out because most mouths don't have the room for them. If thats not the problem, you may have a vitamin deficiency. Either way, you don't want to end up like me. It looks like I have a beautiful smile, but the truth is most of my back teeth are either broken, or missing, and I am in pain almost constantly. I know that at this point, a dentist would have to pull most of them back there. Good luck!

Can your tooth feel loose even though its not??

My 2 front teeth feel loose but i know that one came out...but i cant remember the other. Are they loose or not? Should i go to the dentist or not.... can it be loose even if it already came out....what should i do??? i dont want it to fall out....im to old for this...

Can your tooth feel loose even though its not??
How old are you? If you are older than 12 you should have your permanent teeth. Teeth can feel loose if the gums are not healthy around them. They can feel loose right after a cleaning for a day or less. That is if the gums were really irritated and needed lots of therapy (scaling). Teeth can feel loose during braces. Teeth can feel loose if you are clenching or grinding them. If you have advanced periodontal disease, they will be loose because not enough bone is surrounding them.
Reply:If your gums are infected they can loosen. It may not even be your teeth at all. Go to the dentist for a cleaning and ask for a prescription mouth rinse. It will help tighten up your gums.
Reply:My ex husband got an infection in his gums and lost his front teeth. I'd go and see the dentist.
Reply:yeah you should definitely go to the dentist and have that checked out. I haven't had any teeth come out twice but I'm actually missing a bunch of permanent teeth that will never come in so I have some fakes. so yes sometimes weird things happen with teeth so definitely go to a dentist. good luck!
Reply:You should probably get it checked out just to make sure it's nothing too serious.

Sometimes some of my teeth feel loose, but it's because i clench my jaw when I'm sleeping.

What age do puppies start loosing their teeth?

I have a 3 month old Jack Russell and was wondering when he will start loosing his teeth.

What age do puppies start loosing their teeth?
They start loosing the front teeth at about 4 - 5 mos, and usually the canines at 6 mos, and by 8 mos they pretty much have all their adult teeth. It is a process you usually don't notice, as you will not find your dogs baby teeth just laying around, they tend to ingest them while eating or drinking, so if you really want to know if he's loosing any, just take a peek at his teeth every now and again. Which you should do any way, because later on if you want to be able to brush your dogs teeth (saves hundreds on dental cleanings as an adult) he will be used to your lifting his gums and exposing his teeth
Reply:2 yrs
Reply:They start around 3-4 months and continue to loose them until around 6 months
Reply:around 4 months
Reply:Retained deciduous teeth

As with people, puppies lose their baby teeth, or deciduous teeth, and develop adult teeth. By 1 month of age, puppies generally start “erupting” their baby teeth – that's when the teeth begin to break through the gums – and have all 28 deciduous teeth by the time they reach 1 ½ months of age. By the time a puppy is 6 to 7 months of age, generally all the baby teeth have been replaced with 42 adult or permanent teeth.

The body begins a process of resorption of the baby teeth as soon as the permanent teeth begin their formation. This process causes the teeth to loosen and fall out as the permanent teeth erupt. Occasionally, the normal resorption process fails, and the deciduous teeth do not fall out. This is commonly referred to as “retained deciduous teeth.” This situation leads to problems as two teeth try to occupy the same area causing the new permanent tooth to erupt at an abnormal angle or in an abnormal position. This can result in malocclusion or an abnormal “bite.”

The four “canine” teeth are most commonly retained. These two sets of canine teeth – one mandibular set on the lower jaw and one maxillary set on the upper jaw – are the sharp fang-like teeth that are just behind the front 6 central incisors.

Extraction (or removal) of the retained deciduous teeth is recommended as soon as the problem is identified, since early removal allows the adult teeth to move into their normal positions preventing malocclusion problems. Special veterinary care is required during extraction of the baby teeth to prevent damage to the permanent tooth. Often, retained deciduous teeth are removed at the time of spay or neuter since anesthesia is recommended for both procedures.

Late diagnosis or late removal of retained deciduous teeth may result in severe malocclusion associated with pain or difficulty eating. These cases may require surgical removal and orthodontic dental work to reposition the teeth and improve the "bite," usually with the use of braces."
Reply:usually 3-4 mom but my puppy just started and she's 5 mo.
Reply:3-6 months.............sometimes depends on the breed..........My GSD start to lose her milk teeth when she was 4months old........my mix breed pup on the other hand start to lose when he was almost 7 months old............
Reply:Puppies loose their baby teeth when they are 4-5 months of age starting with their incisors or front teeth, then their molars, and finally their canine teeth

My kitten is about to loose her tooth?
eye tooth?????

loosing teeth is normal her big ones will replace them
Reply:I don't know...

I've raised my cat since he was born, and I don't think he's ever lost any teeth. Does the tooth look normal? No decay or anything?
Reply:yes kittens do lose their milk teeth. how old is your kitten?

if it is an older adolescent or an adult then that is not normal.

they can start losing their milk teeth at 11 weeks and this can continue until the kit is 30 weeks old. they will then get their permanent teeth.
Reply:My cat has nvr lost a tooth and i raised her since she was a kitten. This sounds strange but adult teeth should replace them.

well check this site out it will help you with the cate for your cats teeth
Reply:well if your kitten is about 6 months old it is normal to loose teeth. Baby teeth just like human children will grow permanant teeth. They are suppost to be permant so remember cats need regular dental checks to keep thier teeth all thier life just as humans do.

Philosophy

My son's tooth has been loose for so long but won't come out?....?

My 6 year-old is about to lose is second tooth.....so I thought. His two front bottom teeth were loose at the same time, and one of them fell out over a month ago, but the other one is still hanging on. The new tooth is coming through behind it (somewhat sideways, too). I've promised him I won't pull it %26amp; we work with it %26amp; wiggle it just about every day. It's VERY loose, it can even move from side to side, but because the new tooth is coming in behind it, we can't wiggle it in THAT direction, which normally I think would be just what it needs to finally let go. What are the chances that this could damage his new tooth trying to come in?

My son's tooth has been loose for so long but won't come out?....?
Some children's tooth roots don't resorb as they should. Wiggling will help, but if the permanent tooth is coming in behind the primary one, it's time to break your promise or get him to a good pedodontist. Allowing this situation to remain will lead to an orthodontist's bill in your future. Look for this to happen again with some of your son's other teeth.
Reply:It will not damage the new tooth coming it but it may make it come in not as straight as it should. If he won't let you pull the loose tooth then have the dentist pull it for him.
Reply:It's ok. Mine was like that too, when I was little. Just hold tight. It'll come out. If you really want to get it out, get him to eat apples. That's what my friend did.
Reply:leave it it will come out when its ready it wont hurt his new teeth
Reply:I really don't think it will damage the tooth... but you may want to talk to a dentist though.

Why did you promise not to pull it out? If you could just pull it, then you wouldn't even have to worry about it, and if it is as loose as you say it is then it shouldn't hurt your son too badly.
Reply:try tuning it and if that do not work take him to the dentest
Reply:grab the tooth with your thumb and the ring finger and pull as hard as you can. Should come out.

If he was an adult a better solution would be a punch in the face.
Reply:My son had the same issue at age 6 and we took him to the dentist twice. The dentist said it was ok for the teeth to come in that way (he may need orthodontic work in the future) unless he was in pain, which he wasn't. One day just out of the blue he showed me his tooth and it was so loose that I just wiggled it a little and it came out. If you are concerned though, put in a call to his dentist. Hope this helps you.
Reply:GOD, that freaks me out! I hate loose teeth - they scare me! At any rate, do what my family did to me when I was little. Tie one end of a string to the tooth and the other end to a door knob and slam the door shut. LOL, they really did that. Sometimes you just have to force that b*astard out! Ofourse, a more human approach would be to call the dentist and get his advice.
Reply:Try to keep working at it and it may come out if not take him in to the dentist and they can remove it.
Reply:knock him on the head and pull it when he is unconscious. i promise he will not be mad at you for breaking your promise when he wakes up.
Reply:just go to the dentist.most often in cases like this it is possible to remove the tooth by just applying topical anesthetic so that it wont be painful to his gums when the dentist moves his tooth around. there wont be direct damage to the tooth that is coming, in its more of malalignment of his permanent teeth may occur.

How can you pull a loose baby tooth?

I have a loose baby tooth. It is pretty big, almost the size of a molar. Please do not say "tie a string to the tooth and tie the other end on a door and shut the door." I need help!

How can you pull a loose baby tooth?
Gargle with Hydrogen Peroxide - DO NOT SWALLOW!-
Reply:just keep wiggling it and it will fall out, don't pull just wiggle, it might take like 30 minutes
Reply:Tie a string around your bedpost and around your tooth. Stand up, and then fall backwards off your bed.
Reply:Eat corn on the cob every day for a week. That should do the trick. If not have a dentist pull it.
Reply:push it to one side until it hurts hold it for 5 seconds and then push it the other way and do the same thing it will become more loose and then you should be able to just twist it and pull it out
Reply:Try eating some sticky, chewy food like caramels. That always worked for me. Of course you could always just grab it with a tissue and give it a good yank.
Reply:tie a string to the tooth and tie the other end on a door and shut the door
Reply:pliers
Reply:eat peanuts or cheerios,,you well swallow the tooth
Reply:plyers
Reply:apples gum and other sticky candys will work.
Reply:Don't try it yourself, you are risking infecting the baby. IT IS DANGEROUS. Take the baby to a dentist.
Reply:Yes, if it isn't infected or impacted in any way. We have removed several of our kids baby teeth this way. Just wiggle and pull. It should come out easy. Use a tissue to get a good grip. Try everyday and it will come out. Otherwise, we go to the dentist.
Reply:dont be a puss. grab that bi*ch and yank it.

then let it bleed allover your hands and run around screaming youve been shot..... it will freak your parents out. funny
Reply:TAKE A STRING

ATTACH IT TO THE TOOTH

TAKE THE OTHER END

TIE TO A DOOR KNOB

SMASH THE DOOR

AND THE TOOTH IS OUT

PS: IT WILL HURT REAL BAD

IF THIS DONT WORK, WRITE ME BACK.
Reply:wiggle a ton or go to the dentist.
Reply:just wiggle it
Reply:put a pillow over yo face and ask yo dad to punch you in the mouth hard as he can

Why does my tooth feel loose and hurt?

one of my top teeth have been hurting and it feels a little loose...what does that mean? would I have to have it pulled or something else to it? my parents say that my tooth might be hollow or have a really bad cavity and thats the reason why my tooth feels like its loose. I haven't been to the dentist yet b/c I have no insurance or money to pay for my visit. oh um...would grinding against that tooth make it even more loose? help me out please, I don't wanna have to have it pulled I mean I'm only 20 :(.

Why does my tooth feel loose and hurt?
First of all teeth are not rigidly fused to the bone so a very little movement under finger pressure is normal . Other than that here are the choices

1. tooth is dead with an abscess -would need root canal or extraction

2. tooth is broken -would need root canal and crown.

3. tooth is being knocked around in its socket during chewing ,nail biting ,or during sleep (bruxism) -would need a little grinding

4. tooth has lost its supporting tissues thru periodontal disease .-would need evaluation for splinting or extraction.

You need a dental exam at the very least -try public health service or a dental school you may have in area
Reply:When a tooth loosens and doesn't tighten up again in time, it probably means the nerve is dying [thus the pain].

You should see your dentist immediately. Report It

My front bottom tooth is loose?

Hi, as a kid, i have already lost my front teeth. Well, now, apparently, I was not brushing properly and formed calculus on my teeth. Well, I still didn't learn my lesson from my last 3 cleanings. I had one last week and now, I am trying harder to keep my teeth clean. When I flossed tonight, I noticed a black dot on the side of my tooth right next to the gum. I flossed it out, and my gum started to bleed (not normal). I then proceeded to get the other side of my tooth, when I noticed that the the tooth that I was flossing was becoming loose! I stopped immediately and got to my computer. This tooth is not about 1/8 - 1/4" taller than the rest of my teeth. The one that I am talking about is the bottom tooth right next to the left pointy one.

My front bottom tooth is loose?
bleeding is normal, who told you it wasnt??? bleeding means you trigger you cells to defend themselvs, whn you brush or clean, if u see blood u must brush and floss even more at that place ( more and not stronger). you teeth is loose cuz u have a parodontitis, you need parodontal therapy to keep your teeth
Reply:Go See Your Dentist ASAP.
Reply:Pull it out and put it under your pillow. The tooth fairy will give you some money.

I have a loose front tooth from a fall, is there anything I can do beside going to a dentist?

Two weeks ago, I fell and smacked the left side of my head/face on the floor. As a result, my front tooth loosened. After all this time, it is still loose, I do not have dental insurance to go to a dentist, so I am looking for a "self solution" if there is one out there. Thanks,

I have a loose front tooth from a fall, is there anything I can do beside going to a dentist?
You really need to figure out some way to go to the dentist. You may have no visible damage to the tooth, but if it's loose you can possibly have damage to the roots. Just like with a plant, if the root is damaged the plant can die; so can your tooth. You can also get an infection in your gums and loose more teeth. A standard checkup is relatively inexpensive, and they can diagnose and give you an estimate on what it will cost if something does not need to be done, and then you can come back later and get it done. Also, a lot of places will be willing to set up a payment plan for work done that can be extremely reasonable......sorry for your fall.
Reply:Not too much you can do on your own I'm afraid...except maybe try not to chew or brush it too hard. You really do need to let a dentist look at it though...even if it costs you some money. Unless you don't mind losin' yo toof....
Reply:A loose tooth is not going to reset and heal itself. Dentist, now!
Reply:no question, honey.its a dentist or nothing.no quickie cure 4 this one.it might start 2 decay and then u REALLY would need 2 go take it out.never fear.there's always celluloid or veniers!!!lol!!
Reply:move to kentucky, that way you will fit in much better.
Reply:that tooth will fall out. that is if you dont go to the dentist. Really. if its loose and fully connected to your gums than it will start to die. A dentist should be able to get it back in place so it can get reatached to your gums. Im sorry but you need to see a dentist.
Reply:If you go to a dentist ASAP, he or she may be able to splint your tooth against the teeth next to it, so that it doesn't fall out and has a chance to repair. This will cost you a little bit, but splinting can be fairly simple and it won't cost you nearly as much as replacing a tooth that has fallen out. The soon you go in, the less chance you have of losing that tooth, and the more money you will save in the long run. Teeth aren't a do-it-yourself type of thing -- you should really have a dentist look at it.
Reply:when my little sister was 9 she fell off her bike and hit her front teeth(adult teeth), and she didn't tell our mom they were loose. After about 2-3 weeks they were still pretty wobbly and then they started to turn dark gray. Then 1 fell out and mom took her to a dentist, and she ended up losing the other 3 too. If it's been loose this long it's probly gonna fall out. If you don't mind having a missing tooth I guess you don't have to do anything, but you might want to at least get it checked out before it gets infected unless it falls out first. That's how my sister lost 4 of her front teeth.
