Dog loose tooth?

my chihuahua cious tooth is just hanging there and it looks painful what should i do??

Dog loose tooth?
If he's a puppy and young this is normal. I remember one of our cats actually lost one of her teeth like a child would, and I remember the vet saying it was normal. For the dog, I'd make sure she was comfortable and give her lots of water, and give her soft food.
Reply:How old is the dog? if it is a pup this may be the natural process of losing the baby or milk teeth. If the dog is older and it is the adult teeth you are speaking of, you need to take the dog to a vet immediately.
Reply:well first of all its natrual to take it to the vet when this happens to older dogs but puppies sometimes loose teeth but if you think it hurts him take him to the vet and see what they can do
Reply:This is normal. Just leave it there and let your dog take care of it. Don't pull on it, because it's obviously still attached. Most of the time, you don't notice dog's baby teeth falling out because they swallow the old ones and the new ones grow in really fast- sometimes the next day they sprout up. It might bleed some, just like when kids lose their teeth, but mostly it's not painful. Remember when you lost your teeth? It didn't really hurt. Same thing for him.
