My cat has a loose tooth, does she need to see a vet?

I've just found that my cat has a loose fang - it's only just happened and seems to be bugging her a bit.

She already lost her top 2 fangs in a car accident 2 1/2 years ago and now one of her bottom ones is wobbling.

Do I need to take her to the vet?

Hi Amy... this definitely would require a veterinarian to evaluate. She may have a periodontal disorder which a veterinarian can treat respectively.

Reply:i would take her yes incase it comes out when shes sleeping she could inhale it into her lungs
Reply:yes.

better be safe than sorry.
Reply:.No,see a dentist.
Reply:Yes. Please take her to the vet as soon as you can.
Reply:call the vet they will want to check it out as well. cat does not deserve to be in pain from a tooth!
Reply:Yes, the vet is an only option.

The tooth sounds like it needs pulled and after that you will need a diet plan that will be based on the age and health of your cat.
Reply:Go to the vet. Your cat is in pain.

In the future, dental care is an important part of animal care. Bad teeth and gums can lead to heart disease and other health issues. Maintaining a healthy set of teeth and gums now will save you money in the long run and save your cat pain and suffering.
Reply:Hi, yes I would take her to the vets asap, as they will be able to either save the fang or remove it safely, whichever is the case. No doubt the vet will give her a dental examination as some cats are prone to loose teeth as they can get gingivitus %26amp; just like us they can damage them. Hope this helps a bit :-)
Reply:Yes take her to the vet.
