My dog has bad breath. She keeps her cheeks tight and makes it hard to get in to brush her teeth.?

She has red gums and they bleed easily. Is there a product that I can put in her water or food to help her? She has no problem chewing and when I had her teeth cleaned last fall, they said there were no loose teeth.

Yep-go to vet for sure. Then use oxyfresh in a gel and in a liquid to add to water. It rocks -I use it on my dog regularly.
Reply:ya know there doggie breath pills
Reply:you need to take your dog to the vet. it's possible your dog has gingivitis.
Reply:Check with your veterinarian. The dog probably needs treatment that only the vet can provide.
Reply:your dog is smart about the brushing teeth... just keep checking her mouth regularly but don't brush too often or the dog will have problems.
Reply:if she wont let you brush her teeth like my dog, there are chew bones that help prevent gingavitious (or whowevre u spell it). my friends dog has bad teeth and it helped his%26amp;they are white. they also have doggie mints lol .i havnt tried those for my dogs but ive heard they work. they also have spray for dog's that have bad breath!!!

=D

hope this helps some
Reply:Well my border collie has bad breath too. I brought it up at the vet, and she said it was because of some bacteria in his mouth. She gave him some medication and a special prescripsion diet. He was only started on it a few days ago, so I'm not sure if it's working yet.
Reply:Check your vet, also try those dental bones-my dogs love them and keeps thier teeth nice and fresh!Also-a vet can give small-week seditive pills like to use in a car or on a travel that will calm him enough for you to brush his teeth at least monthly!Im not sure about the water but try using treat flvored toothpast-i think they sell it at pet stores so your dog is happy with it as so are you good luck-i hope this helpedyou!
Reply:go to the vet. easily bedding gums need to be checked out pronto. There are some dog bones, though, that are supposed to help for cleaner teeth. But im not sure that's the problem.
Reply:if your dog will let you stick your finger in its mouth there is a little toothbrush thing that can go over your finger and you can brush its teeth
Reply:You could try a different food. The dental bones help but most of the "doggie breath mints" don't work. If it is really that bad, she should go to the vet.
Reply:when did she have her last ckeck up? bleeding gums do not sound as if she's healthy, please do not try some home remedy the bleeding could be serious, take her to the vet P L E A S E

good luck with her
Reply:You had your dog's teeth cleaned about 6 months ago. That's not enough, my dear. Have them cleaned again, then "click on" OXY-FRESH.COM. When you get that, then click on "PETS". They say to add Oxyfresh to the dog's drinking water and your dog's breath will be as sweet as pie. Try it, but remember to have your dog's teeth cleaned at least every 2 or 3 months by a vet. There's also a possibility that she has a bad gun disease. Sometimes this can be fatal, so have her checked immediately when you have her teeth cleaned.
