How do you know a loose tooth is ready to be pulled out?

For young kids that lose teeth i mean...

I've just always wondered.

How do you know a loose tooth is ready to be pulled out?
Loose teeth will usually move alot. If it is not moving that much, wait till it loosens up before pulling it out.

Also, if it hurts while your child eats, its probably good to pull it out.

If the tooth is ready to come off, don't pull it violently. Look up some good ways to pull the tooth. You will be amazed to know how many ways there are to pull a teeth without pain.

Hope this helps!
Reply:Generally, it should be quite loose. If it isn't loose and the new tooth is coming up behind (like shark teeth) or under it, the baby tooth may become pinned in place and need the attention of a dentist. When the adult teeth are growing up from the gums they cause the root on the baby (also called deciduous) tooth to resorb (disappear) and that is what causes the tooth to become loose since it has no anchor. Hope that helps!
