I have had a loose tooth for almost 2 years?

my dentist says its a baby tooth ( im in my 30's ) and it will fall out on its own, i can see the new tooth underneath which is clearly going rotten as obviously i cant get to it to brush it properly. how can i persuade the dentist to pull it out. apart from this she seems like a good dentist and i dont want to change.

Ask, "Why won't you take out the baby tooth?" and get out your B.S. detector. If you think the answer is B.S., go to some else. I can't imagine a good reason for leaving this situation untreated.

Reply:you should pull the tooth yourself. thats gross for you to keep it there for almost 2 years. if you don't like that idea, go to another dentist that obviousely knows what they are talking about.

Reply:Express your concern to your dentist that you would like this tooth taken out and the tooth underneath addressed as well. Have her explain to you her reason(s) and show you the xrays. If you do not feel comfortable with the answers then it would not hurt to get a second opinion. Good luck!

It would be more productive to discuss it with her directly rather than asking a bunch of strangers on the internet.
