Is it normal to have a bottom front tooth come loose....?

before the top two teeth come loose and fall out?

My daughter is a little over 5yrs and the tooth is loose. She didn't experience any injury to knock it loose and she just realized it before lunch time today. I always thought that the top two teeth went first.

Is it normal to have a bottom front tooth come loose....?
According to my mother (a dental hygeniest), the bottom two teeth are always the first to go, then the top two.

She says it really irks her that all the books she sees about kids with their first loose tooth show one of the top teeth loose because it's easier to make the illustration that way, but it's wrong!
Reply:Actually, I think it's a little more common for the bottom to be the first to go (first to grow are the first to go).

Either way, I don't think it matters. If she's about the age when she would lose teeth (and she is), and she says nothing hit it or anything, she's fine.
Reply:My neice lost her two bottom teeth first. I think it's just like when they are teething...they can come in in any order, and can fall out in any order.
Reply:My daughter lost her bottom teeth first. The dentist told me they will fall out in the order they came in.
