i was playing football when i got hit in the mouth and now my tooth is loose.

Reply:Since this is your permanant tooth chances are it will remain lose. Not only that, since it's lose you may have nerve damage in the tooth which may cause it to look a grayish color. Go to your dentist. If the tooth falls out, put it in a glass of cold milk and take it to your dentist with you.

Reply:Yes, until you get it fixed. I had a tooth knocked loose and salvaged it with a dental post by going to a dentist.





However, 10 years later I had to have a root canal because the nerve eventually died inside the tooth. 3 years later, due to an infection I did not know about, my jawbone deteriorated above the tooth and the tooth finally had to come out. After a bone graft and a dental implant I finally recovered my "tooth".





So, to answer your question, yes the tooth will remain loose until a dentist can set a post by the roots. Otherwise, unlike rats, our teeth and roots do not regenerate so the damage is permanent.
