My 4-year old daughter fell, has loose tooth?

At daycare today, my daughter fell into a toy bin, bloodied her lip, and when I went to look at her teeth, I felt one of the front top ones wiggle. It's not extremely loose but it definitely moved. She will see the dentist tomorrow. Has anyone else's child gone through this? Was the tooth saved? Did it turn grey? Can it really sort of "reattach"? And finally, what age do kids normally lose their baby teeth?

Thank you!

Children can lose their baby teeth all the way up into their early teens. Loose teeth are not always traumatic. When I was little I took a nose-dive into cement and knocked my front tooth EXTREMELY loose, but as long as the nerve is healthy it can re-attatch and grow strong again. I have all my teeth, strong and white, but as long as they are her baby teeth I'm sure she will be fine. It's good that you are seeing the dentist, never seek souly to internet comments for the health of your family, loved ones or self!
Reply:My 5 year old lost both his front teeth. The dentist told me that they would be fine and would not cause any trouble it doesnt make much sense to spend a ton of money on them when their going to fall out in a couple years anyhow. I have to cut up his apples though.

I think the "typical age" is around 6-7 years.
Reply:From what I understand, if the tooth is not extremely loose, it can "tighten" back in...so to speak, and should be fine. What age their teeth fall out largely depends on when they first got their teeth as a baby. Mine were late teethers (my daughter got her first a week AFTER her first birthday!) so they will lose them closer to 7-7 1/2 years old. Early teethers will lose them closer to 6 years old. Hope this helps, Hun! Good luck!
