HELP

Loosing teeth? (in pups)?
Yes, this is perfectly normal. Puppies and kittens, just like human children, have deciduous ("baby") teeth which fall out and are replaced by adult teeth. Starting around 4 months, the adult incisors start to come in, then premolars, then at about 6 months the adult canines come in. Most of the time puppies swallow these teeth and owners never see the tooth come out, but sometimes they will notice that a tooth is loose or missing or they will notice a little spot of blood or a baby tooth stuck in a chew toy.

Sometimes, for whatever reason, the deciduous tooth will not fall out when the adult tooth comes in. Retained deciduous teeth are more common in small breed dogs, so you will want to keep an eye out for this and get those extra teeth pulled (most vets do it at the spay/neuter...which is one reason that many vets still prefer to wait until a dog is six months old to alter them). Retained deciduous teeth aren't usually a major health concern, but they can increase the chances of periodontal disease (which small breeds tend to be more prone to anyway) and really should be removed.
Reply:It is normal for a puppy to lose his teeth. They will all be replaced by his bigger adult teeth, just like us.
Reply:Puppies have "baby" teeth and permanent teeth just like us. Permanent teeth come in anywhere from 3-6 months and so it would be normal for them to lose their baby teeth prior to this.

If this is not a puppy tooth, it could be a problem but otherwise it's completely normal. (a good thing, actually).
Reply:It is normal that puppies lose their baby teeth.
Reply:its totally normal, hes probably already lost some teeth and you just didnt notice... they loose all their baby teeth and grow an adult set just like humans, normally they are all out by around 6 months, if they havent all fallen out by the time you get your dog spayed or neutered the vet will generally pull them while the dog is under anesthesia
Reply:Yes. Puppies like Babies loose their teeth and grow adult teeth.
Reply:Yes this is normal.. Its just like little kids loosing their teeth...

Yes it will come out, and he will grow another, just like humans..
Reply:puppies lose their teeth thruout the teething stage and are replaced by sharper and stronger teeth. sometimes you'll find a tooth out of nowhere maybe in its foodbowl or near where it plays with its toys but its normal up to a year of age. if it happens after that then just make sure their teeth are getting the correct health.
Reply:yes it's normal. You know how we lose our teeth? They do too.
Reply:Perfectly normal. You may or may not find the teeth when they fall out. He will lose them all and new ones will come in.
Reply:this is normal. by 60 mo. he should be done and then at about 1-1 1/2 yrs. he will start losing his molars. he may swallow them which is normal or you might find one or two on the floor. they look like caps for teeth.

if there are any baby teeth that don't come out but the adult tooth has come in take to vet. and have him pull them. he will be asleep and won't even know. it is important that these baby teeth be removed or it can cause problems for his adult teeth.
