My daughter is 6 years and 9 months she didn't loose any of her teeth and her cousin is same age and lost 4

That was the same situation with a friend of mine's son--he didn't start losing his teeth until third grade and he was extremely upset--in PE class, the kids were playing a game where the teacher would yell things like, "whoever's wearing red run to the other side of the gym." Well, he yelled, "whoever's lost a tooth" and poor Sean was the only one left on one side of the gym and came home in tears. They took him to the dentist who said that the longer the baby teeth are in the better it is for their dental health because the adult teeth are protected for longer. So, it's actually better that your daughter hasn't lost any teeth yet.

The window on losing teeth is just like when they are coming in. There is usually 18-24 months that are considered "normal" and even then they will tell you just be patient. It will all happen when it's supposed to. Just make sure she is taking care of them.
Reply:THis is fine.....When I was a kid, I didn't loose my first tooth until I was about 7.5 years old!
Reply:all kids lose teeth at thier own time, teeth only come out then another one pushes it out. In some cases kids loose their teeth at age 7.
Reply:Really the longer she keeps her baby teeth the better! It gives more time for her to be ready to care for the adult teeth once they come in. Dentists will say its a good thing.
Reply:Some kids start later than others. What does her dentist say? I really don't think you have to worry just yet.
Reply:Give it time. Every kid is different. My oldest daughter lost all her baby teeth when she was almost 9. We called her snaggle tooth. She also tried to catch the tooth fairy so watch her!
Reply:Each and every child is different. Take your child to a peds dentist if you are really concerned (she is old enough to start going to the dentist every six months anyway). Remember, you should never compare kids....they are like snowflakes...no two are alike!!
Reply:I didn't start losing any teeth until I was seven.
Reply:My son lost his first tooth on Thanksgiving day, making him 6 years, 10 months old at the time. He lost his second one a month later, and #'s 3 and 4 are just starting to wiggle a little.
Reply:Calm down they come out when they come out thats when i lost my first tooth.Besides everyones tooth comes out at different times
