My cat is almost a year old and has a loose tooth in the bottom center. Is that normal?

I know that cats loose their baby teeth at around 2-3 months, but she is almost a year old. I'm worried. I'm going to call the vet tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone knew anything about this. Thanks.

yes just like humans animals that have teeth too!

i have a cat and i went to the vet to make sure everything was ok with the little kitten and she had a lose tooth at also 2-3 months old.the vet said it was perfectly normal.
Reply:Im not an expert, but my dog started loosing his teeth when he was like 9 months to a year
Reply:It could be getting another tooth in. Or it could've bitten down on a hard piece of food and loosened it. It's okay if it is loose and has to be pulled. It happens alot. Trust me I've got 4 dogs, cat, few hamsters, etc.
Reply:Are you feeding your cat soft/wet food? That will make their teeth fall out fairly fast. They should eat hard food. When they eat it and "crunch" it, it helps clean the tartar off their teeth. Soft/wet food causes tooth decay because the tartar builds up. You could use a combo of both types of food, but I only feed my kitty hard/crunchy food. Good luck.
Reply:I DONT FIND IT NORMAL THAT YOU KNOW that your cat has a looses tooth.......

who touches their cats teeth to see if they are loose
Reply:no this is not normal!I see you are taking your baby to the vet! you are doing the right thing for her good luck!
