My daughter has a loose tooth what am I suppose to do?

we (my hubby %26amp; I) are excited this will be her first tooth lost, she is excited about the tooth fairy also..So with that said do I just wait until it falls out or do I have to pull it? I can remeber as a little girl my grandmother use to pull the grandchildrens loose teeth..The thought of that makes me extremely nervous so can I just take to her dentist? or just calm down %26amp; wait.. 10pt. to the best answer rude comments will be reported Thanks..

Bring her to see her NaNa.
Reply:Don't pull it! Sometimes a tooth is loose for several days or even weeks before it falls out. It will fall out on its own. Just be patient and let it fall out when it's ready. Then make a big deal of it with your daughter since it's her first tooth, and you can even help her write a letter to the tooth fairy.
Reply:I have such a weak stomach to the sight of blood so i of course never pulled my kids teeth lol. I would wait for their dad to which never bothered them or i would just wait for them to fall out on their own. pretty soon as they keep coming out the kids took over.
Reply:If it is just a little loose, I would wait a day or so, but if it is very loose, just grab a hold of it and pull gently. If it doesn't come out, wait a little longer. If it does come out, get your wallet out!

Good luck!

By the way, I used to pull my own teeth out and have never had a problem!
Reply:My kids both got loose teeth right around then, too. Don't worry about pulling it, it'll get looser and looser on it's own. If it still has trouble, you can give her some help, either yourself or with a dentist, but don't stress on it right now. As far as the tooth fairy, what we did was print a tiny letter in the tiniest font on pink paper and leave it with the dollar. (Inflation, huh? I got like 25 cents as a kid!) Both of my kids loved their letters!
Reply:Leave it till it falls out.

No need to go to a dentist .

I have 3 children and one is terrified and feels ill when she has a loose tooth!

Number 2 will leave them hanging on for days

and number three will come up and say,'pull this out please Mum, it's annoying me!'

I oblige of course!!
Reply:Just let it come out. You don't need to worry about it.....
Reply:Oh my goodness, you just beat me to asking this question!!!!! Our four year old was 4 last September and whilst cleaning his teeth tonight we discovered one lose and a little bit of the new one poking through, I thought this was really early, but maybe not! thanks for asking! I'll be watching the replies on this one!!!
Reply:Let it loosen and fall out on its own. If it's just hanging there, you can pull it for her, but she may not let you touch it.
Reply:Calm down! If you wait the new tooth will push the baby tooth out. You can also pull it out but some kids freak out. It might bleed or hurt some. It might take longer for the adult tooth to come in if you pull the baby tooth.
Reply:I would leave it, she will fiddle with it with her toungue as you and I and every other person I know did. If it starts to cause her some real discomfort then you could try to pull it out but do it with a quick sharp tug, dont hang around with it.

I remember when I was about 10 and my brother was about 5 he had a really wobbley tooth. We were about to head out for school and he was crying and crying because he didn't want it there all day and I was getting annoyed so I just yanked it out. He looked so shocked but completley relieved at the same time and it didn't hurt because he stopped crying almost immediatly.

Yeh just a bit of reminising there...

Hope it works its way out soon x
Reply:Just wait for it to come out. You don't want to pull it and make it traumatic every time a tooth is loose. Also you can ask her to wiggle it a lot with her tongue. This really helps get it nice and loose. Also, have her try to bite into an apple or something. Kids teeth can be loose for a while before they actually come out. No dentist needed at this point. Why pay for him/her to say the same thing? ;)
Reply:take her to the dentist!. My father use to pull or teeth with pliers and it was murder!.take her to the dentist, they will do it right, and she can take the tooth home, put it under her pillow, then you can sneak in and put ah dollar in it's place. I take all my kids to the dentist for there teeth pulls..
Reply:Acually your grandmother was right, with pulling it out. i have children of my own now a grandma. You have the fear of her swallowing the tooth .SO coming from a mom and grandma I suggest to explain to her that story of the tooth fairy will come if we put the tooth under her pilo which then the tooth fairy will come and leave her a surprise under her pillow.Just have her start wigglyling on her tooth and mom you can help her too.But just be happy and positive and show excitement ,then you and her can have fun doing this together. Just take warning that when the tooth does come out there will be some bleeding, just rinse with cold water. Good Luck mom!
