When do puppies start loosing their teeth?

my puppy is now 14 weeks old... i was wondering when he is going to start to loose his baby teeth... thanks soo much

When do puppies start loosing their teeth?
Like humans, dogs have two sets of teeth in their lives. The 28 baby teeth erupt through the gums between the third and sixth weeks of age. Puppies do not have to grind much food, so they do not have molars. Puppy teeth begin to shed and be replaced by permanent adult teeth at about four months of age. Although there is some variation in breeds, most adult dogs have 42 teeth, with the molars coming last, at about six or seven months.

out a lone. Some eat and the food take them out. So they

Reply:Somewhere around 3-4 months of age. They generally have all their adult teeth by the time they are 6 months old.

Reply:They lose them in sets. The little front ones will fall out first somewhere around 20 weeks. Then the canines (the big pointy ones). Then the flat back ones.


My puppy is losing her back ones right now. She's about 4 months old now. I keep finding them on the floor :)
Reply:what breed do you have?? Mine is jack russell.. and he loose his baby teeth around 4 month old.but just only 2 back of his teeth..
