5 Month old TOY POODLE loosing some teeth?! Is this normal?!?

My baby was 5 months old, yesterday! :)

Last night my husband have her a Rib Bone to lick and chew on. We watched her really carefully and took it away once she had eating all the meat and licked the sauce off.

Today i noticed when looking at her teeth that, majority of her bottom teeth are gone, and she is missing one on the top. Her gums are red and looks like it might be bleeding in one spot. I cannot feel any new teeth coming in.

Is it time for her to loose her baby teeth?

Or do you think she hurt them with the rib bone?

Anything i should do?

She doesn't appear to be in any pain.

Thanks in advance!!

Yes, she is loosing her puppy teeth.Get her some chew toys and a puppy teething ring she should be fine. In a few days you should be able to see her new teeth coming in or feel them.

I would not give her rib bones, even if you are careful. The sauce and meat can upset her tummy (too heavy and spicy) and she could get a sliver of bone when you aren't looking, or you just don't notice it.

Hope this helps.
Reply:They were probably just baby teeth. She's at the right age for her adult teeth to be coming in.

If not, there's nothing you can do about it, now.
Reply:She is looseing her baby teeth and sometimes if they bite into something when their teeth are lose they will bleed a little. Get her some chew toys and a puppy teething ring she should be fine. In a few days you should be able to see her new teeth coming in or feel them one.
Reply:No, its normal.

I wouldn't give her rib bones anymore, at least until her adult teeth are fully in (9 months).

Dogs usually loose milking teeth (baby teeth) during the 4'th-7'th months. Its normal, but make sure they don't swallow them (to the best of your ability, its difficult).

If you see a little blood in her mouth or on her toys, don't fret, its part of the teeth loosing cycle.

Dogs loose teeth quickly, but they grow back much slower.

To help her out, feed her moistened food, or mix wet food and dry food together to help her eat.

Avoid bones, hard toys, and ice.

Give her soft toys (towel bones, soft dice, softer rubber toys) to massage her gum lines during this time too.
Reply:yes it is time for her to lose her baby teeth. dont worry too much unless she starts getting sick or bleeding profusely
Reply:it is only her loosing her puppy teeth..totally normal..
Reply:hehe! of cource its normal! its loozing its milk teeth! all puppys loose teeth at 4-7 months. i have a keeshond at 4.5 months who is having the same thing happen. i think the rib bone just helped it out a little. that is why puppys have to teeth . if no teeth start coming in by 2-3 weeks, then you should start worrying, im sure she's fine-

hope this helps! XD
Reply:yeah its normal she should be done teething by 6 months but my puupy is 7 months and still likes to chew on bones, but she isnt loosing teeth any more
Reply:She is loosing her baby teeth, it's normal.

I would not give her rib bones, even if you are careful. The sauce and meat can upset her tummy (too heavy and spicy) and she could get a sliver of bone when you aren't looking, or you just don't notice it. The only meat she should have at this point is plain, boiled, chicken or hamburger with no sauces, salt, pepper, etc.

The only sort of bones you should give your dogs are the ones sold in pet stores, and you should wait until she is over a year old before you give them too her. She's just too little right now to be able to properly digest it. It's also easier for her to choke on the bigger pieces.
Reply:all puppies lose there "baby teeth"

there isnt anything you should do. shell be fine.
Reply:Yes, it's normal for puppies to be losing baby teeth at a few months old. However, you should NOT be giving her cooked rib bones with meat and sauce.
Reply:toy poodles shouldnt chew on steak bones from her chewing so hard she probably pulled them out.

remember shes syill a baby
