Loose canine tooth.....?

My 8.5 month old dog has a loose canine tooth and I think she has grown in all her adult teeth a couple of months ago. Does anyone know what's wrong?

Loose canine tooth.....?
Not really.. You could be wrong about all the adult teeth. Id call the vet if i were you

Wishing you the best of luck...
Reply:she could have loosened it while chewing on a toy. my dog pulled two of his teeth that way.
Reply:tooth+pliers=woof woof
Reply:now i dunno if this applies to dogs but it does apply to humans. If its a permanent tooth then you have mobility issues. this is when the tooth is loose in one direction or another. This is usually treated by placing a splint on the tooth so that it is stationary and it heals properly. The sooner it is done the better. Take the dog to the vet.

Teeth help...?

Hi again, i posted a question regarding my tooth some time ago. I have a follow-up question.

How is a tooth considered very loose, loose, or slightly loose? Also, how long does it take for loose teeth to firm up on its own? Is a month or 2 possible?

I've also noticed that the 1 or 2 teeth surrounding my traumatized tooth is starting to come loose tooth. I suspect a fracture of the alveolar since i think that my traumatized tooth was pushed inward during the fall. Is this possible?

If so, what are the treatment options and healing time? Thanks alot.

aw hon, just go to the dentist. It may cost some now, but in the future you will be very glad that you did!

How can i tell baby teeth from adult teeth?

i am 11 yrs old, and i have this one loose tooth it's a molar. i'm not sure if it's a baby tooth or an adult tooth. i showed my baby sitter (16 yrs old, just to let u know) before and she said it's most likely a baby tooth because an adult tooth wouldn't be loose unless of an accident, and there's no bruise on my face. though i'm still kinda worried that there's a possiblity it may be an adult tooth...i won't be relieved of it until i get it clarified for sure that it's a baby tooth, not an adult tooth. my next dental appointment is on June 26, but i want to know before then. can you tell me a way i can tell baby teeth between adult teeth just by looking in the mirror or something? i heard somewhere that adult teeth have more roots and stuff above them, and i tried comparing the roots and stuff above my loose teeth with my teeth i know are adult teeth, but i can't tell. please help me, needing help from ppl with experience, ppl with just plain knowledge, and of course dentists. -thanks

How can i tell baby teeth from adult teeth?
First of all, if it's really loose and you're 11, it's most likely a baby tooth. You are at the right age to be losing your baby molars. You probably only have 4 adult molars at the very back of your mouth (two on the bottom, two on top). Any molar that is loose in front of those is a baby tooth.
Reply:adult teeth are bigger.
Reply:ask a dentist
Reply:no idea!
Reply:listen to your sitter, sounds like she knows what she is talking about.
Reply:ur 11 and u have a babysitter?!! hahahaha, go to the dentist he'll tell you
Reply:it sounds like a baby tooth

if most your teeth are grown up teeth it seems smaller, than its a baby tooth for sure
Reply:baby teeth smaller
Reply:mind over matter buddy

just start thinking it's a baby tooth and nothing bad should happen...
Reply:have you ever lost that tooth before? if you have, then it's an adult tooth. but since you're only 11, it's unlikely to have lost it. a lot of adults still have their baby molars because i guess they don't really need to come out sometimes. go to the dentist if you're that worried about it and see if it's an adult tooth or baby tooth.
Reply:Their should be a visible size difference. Adult teeth are usually bigger and baby teeth smaller.
Reply:well adult teeth are bigger but baby teeth can still be big but your tooth should start to get loose or feel like it hurts a bit just so it can make room for the adult teeth hope this helps =)
Reply:Call your family's dentist if you're worried.
Reply:i've heard that the adult tooth is alot bigger

but idk
Reply:if u lost the tooth b4, then its an adult tooth. if its the same one from when u were a baby, it'll come out.
Reply:Hello,

I am 12 years old, and I just want to tell you that I feel your worry. I've experienced this before. Adult teeth are usually bigger. I want to ask you though, have you lost any molars yet at all? If you don't know, here is some extra info.

Check out this website

http://www.ada.org/public/topics/tooth_e...

You will also know if it is a baby or adult tooth in a week or two because you will see if the new tooth is poking up or not. Feel your gum to see if you can feel anything poking through. I am also sure that your parent or guardian could call your dentist to have them check on it if you are that worried.

Hope this helped
Reply:There aren't any baby molars. What you've got is a loose adult tooth.

It might just be because of your diet or the state of your gums, though. You don't have to have an injury for the tooth to be loose.
Reply:Hey, I wouldn't worry much about this, it sounds like you are gonna get your twelve-year molars in soon...I am NOT a dentist, but I am a med student, and a Mom..and all of my kids except for one have been through this. Perhaps if you think back to all

your tooth fairy visits, you will remember which teeth you put under your pillow for her. .. betcha I'm right!
Reply:Is the gum area red or swelled by that tooth? If so you more then likely have an adult tooth coming up.

Look at your molar then your baby sitters. Her molar should be an adult molar and larger.

Hope this puts your mind at ease for tonight..

My 9 yo son fell off his bike, chipped 2 of his front teeth, and they are a bit loose.?

Do we just leave them alone or does he need to see a dentist? I am just assuming they will heal on thier own.

My 9 yo son fell off his bike, chipped 2 of his front teeth, and they are a bit loose.?
Go to a dentist as soon as possible, in the mean time limit him to soft foods. Your teeth are held in place by tissue and he has most likely torn or pulled those tissues. They will hopefully heal with time and the teeth will sit firm. But only the dentist can tell for sure. But the teeth will need to head, just like an ankle, so its best not to over tax the tissues until you can see a dentist. Soft Food!!
Reply:Go to the dentist. They can wired the teeth so they can heal in place. MY frien go hit and the dentist wired her and she's ok. Report It

Reply:My kid did similar when he was 11. You need to take him to see a dentist, the chips won't heal.

He needs to make sure everything is ok besides fixing the chips.
Reply:I think you should definatly take him to see a dentist.

Even if the loseness of his teeth would heal itself the chips wont so I would take him just to make sure everything is okay and see if his teeth need fixing.
Reply:Loose teeth do NOT heal. He needs to go to a dentist. The teeth may have to be filed and the dentist needs to check how damaged the teeth are. If the chip is too severe, he will have to repair the tooth immediately.

to fix this? I've heard of using over the counter adhesives, but its sort of scary to remove it all the way myself......my dental insurance doesn't kick in til April and I am a little concerned about the cost. thanks

I have a loose cap on one of my top teeth. Does anyone have an estimate of how much a dentist would charge?
If it is just loose, with no decay, your dentist may be kind enough to recement it at no charge. If he did not perform the original procedure or if it is a very old restoration he may charge you anything between $50.00-$100.00.

However, if the crown is not restorable or if there is decay underneath, you may need another crown. At least go get an exam. It may even be no charge.

hey, why are think so. how can cleaning of tooth harmful for teeth? so go to dentist get healthy, strong %26amp; bright teeth.
Reply:HELLO,

WHAT YOU HEARD IS A MYTH.

CLEANING THE TEETH WILL NOT HURT THE ENAMEL OR GUMS. IF IT DID THE WORD WOULD SPREAD AND NOBODY WOULD HAVE THEIR TEETH CLEANED.
Reply:no this is not true at all...in some cases though, when you haven't had your teeth cleaned in say five to ten years there will be so much build-up in between them and all over them it hardens to calculus and when the hygienist cleans this off the teeth may become loose but they will return back to normal within a few days, and this is not dramatically loose but just a bit.
Reply:No. All it does is remove plaque. Plaque will do more damage to your gums than any cleaning might.
Reply:I'm a dentist. Getting your teeth cleaned by a dentist will NOT harm your enamel! What dentists do is that they get rid of the plaque and the tartar (technical term is "calculus") around your teeth and underneath the gum where you can't reach by yourself. A deep cleaning will usually require local anesthetic. However, it is possible that after cleaning your teeth might become loose. Why? Your teeth might be so caked on by the hard calculus that they are basically "held in place" by the calculus. There might be severe bone loss around the teeth so nothing is holding it inside the socket, but the calculus is holding it in place so you don't notice that it is loose already. Once the gunk is cleaned away, the tooth can become loose, but that doesn't mean that the dentist caused it! The tooth was already loose in the first place. I hope this makes sense.
Reply:no you are wrong don't waste time

My 6 year old busted her mouth on the door jam (supposedly) and knocked her front tooth loose...?

I can not remember her losing her top tooth yet so i am unsure if this is a baby tooth or a permanent tooth........ i know that when kids loose the top teeth they come back bigger but this one is still small, she has already lost a few on the bottom.

How can i tell if this is a baby tooth or not....... there was blood and we couldnt tell if it was coming from the tooth or a small gash.... it is able to be pushed back but it is still intact in the back.......as it is after hours i am unable to get an appointment.......

I am scared and dont know if we should leave it alone ( if its a permanent tooth) or try to work it out if its a baby tooth........ help please

My 6 year old busted her mouth on the door jam (supposedly) and knocked her front tooth loose...?
Here is a website that describes the differences: http://www.atlantadentist.com/baby_tooth...

If it is an adult tooth, take her to the ER. Call the ER, and let them know you are coming and bringing in a 6-yr-old with a loose adult incisor. Let them know if the root system is intact. They will have a dentist on call.

If the tooth comes out, and it's an adult tooth, put in in milk until you can get to the ER.

Good luck!!
Reply:If the tooth looks small, like the rest of her teeth that haven't come out yet, I wouldn't worry. If it seems larger than the others (oversized for her mouth), it may need dental attention, but if the tooth hasn't come out completely it may tighten up again on its own, just have her eat soft food, until you can get in to see the dentist. Permanent teeth usually have longer roots than baby teeth so if it does come out before you can get to see the dentist, you can put it in some milk, which will help keep it healthy until you can get an appointment
Reply:It should be her baby tooth that fell out. By now, she should be about to lose both of the fronts as well as her laterals (the ones beside the fronts). The first thing you should do is put the tooth in a cup of milk and call the hospital. But if you are really scared, make an emergency dental appointment and have them take an x-ray. The x-ray will be able to show whether the new tooth is about to erupt or if there is no trace of one.

If there is no trace, then more than likely, unfortunately, that was her permanent tooth.

Good luck.
Reply:It probably is a baby tooth. Just don't worry too much and make an appointment with your dentist as soon as you can. Good luck!
Reply:have patience it might grow in lil more day by day but if she knocked her tooth compleatly out usually they dont grow back never do *i think
Reply:at 6 it was probably just a baby tooth as long as she didn't split open her mouth %26amp; it was only bleeding from her tooth she should be fine, she's 6 accidents happen

I have had a baby tooth loose for a long time and it wont fall out on its own. How should I pull it out?

I have a fear of pulling out my teeth, its loose but won't come out on its own. I'm 14 and I have braces and the longer it takes for the tooth to fall out the longer i will have braces.

I have had a baby tooth loose for a long time and it wont fall out on its own. How should I pull it out?
Hi! I've been in dentistry for over 25 years and NO, you do not pull anything. Your Ortho may have moved the teeth to let the tooth fall out and open up the area for the permanent tooth to come it. Leave it alone. You are not a dentist and the rooth will dissolve and the tooth will fall out when it is ready or he will do it. Don't let this bother you. I often have had baby teeth retain for a period of time until it was best to remove them. BUT not by the patient. Just wait until your next visit and he will take care of it. THIS has NO effect on how long you are in braces. Good luck. M
Reply:Tell your dentist about your concern. Your dentist will pull it out for you.
Reply:How old are you?
Reply:Call your ortho, and explain the situation. He/she will help you.
Reply:tie a string to your tooth and tie the other end to a door knob and slam the door closed.
Reply:ever seen afv? theere are some pretty funny ideas. have a camera nearby :)

tie it to your dog, or a toy train

if it's REALLY loose ask the dentist to pull it out
Reply:If you want to be grizzly about it pull it out with pliers or you could just ask the dentist to do it.
Reply:Don't attempt to pull it out yourself, its best to get advice from a dentist on whether its should be removed surgically. I had the same problem once and they surgically removed it. It was absolutly painless.
Reply:maybe u could sit and wigle it or eat a apple r u could yank it out
Reply:I think this is a question for your orthodontist. I'm surprised it hasn't come up before. In my opinion - totally not an expert - I would think it could be pulled, as long as the braces will keep the space open for the new tooth to grow out straight.
Reply:Give it a couple of twists. Push with your tounge. If that does not work twist as far as you can and pull.

Your 14 and you have baby teeth!
Reply:tie a string around the tooth, climb to the top of a ladder, tie the other end of the string around a ceiling light fixture, then jump of the ladder.

just kidding

ask your mom or dad after you put some ambesol on the area or go to the dentist.
Reply:i think you should tell your dentist. that must suck.):
Reply:Won't your mom pull it for you? Here, this is what we did as kids: tie one end of a string around the tooth, the other around a door knob of an open door. Then step back and slam the door shut, of course you have to make sure the string is tight beforehand and that you tie the string so, that the braces don't get damaged.

It's quick and won't hurt:)
Reply:Grab your favorite juice or pop and throw in a few shots of strong whiskey, such as vodka or To-Kill-ya. Slam it down and wuh la. You can now pull the tooth however you want too. Just kidding, don't do it, cause that's just wrong. If you can wriggle it back and forth I'd try that. Use your tongue to move it while you go about your day. Eventually, it will be so lose you can't help but pull it with your fingers. If it is that loose that you can use your fingers then it should not hurt hardly at all. It is interesting that you are 14. I had my baby teeth until about then too. It baffled friends.
Reply:eat gooy candy. I lost one of mine by doing that lol. it was a milk dud

the periodontal ligament is still attached to the tooth.

Is my tooth loose?

Sometimes when I touch one of my teeth with my tongue it feels like it moves but when I look in the mirror it doesn't look like it moves. I went to the dentist a month ago to have my teeth cleaned and they also took xrays and didn't say anything about my teeth being loose.

Is my tooth loose?
Well there is your answer, Your tooth is not loose!!
Reply:Dentist usually checks the gums with a pick instrument to see how deep the pockets of the gums are.

The tongue is softer than the tooth and it may "feel" loose, but I doubt it. If it really bothers you, call your dentist.

Back tooth loose?

Is your back toot suppose to be loose? Actually, is all of your teeth should be loose? Help me out here!

Back tooth loose?
What is your age? From your spelling and sentence structure, you still have baby teeth. They do get loose.

Also when grasping a tooth with thumb and forefinger and wiggle the sensation of tooth movement is the compression of the tissue on your fingers. Look at the tooth in question in a mirror and see if the tooth actually moves. A very, very slight movement is normal.
Reply:It depends what you mean by loose. All of your teeth are supposed to move just a tiny bit.

well what will you chose-I pray you already chose Jesus-and if not you will -

as you waste your life-finding other things to be your god hoping it will give you the happiness and maybe that JEsus lied about salvation and the joy of heaven-or if we chose against Jesus and free salvation the never ending torment of hell

I prayed and got higher than ever and respect for others-females too-that they are worth respecting and treating them with care instead of using them and sayin I love you when deap in my heart it was the words of lust -because i had rejected marriage and honor and Jesus who would Save me!!

Reply:Yes, there are pros and cons to smoking weed and having sex. That really has nothing to do with some guy who died 2000 years ago, if he existed at all.

Weed only causes jail time because people have fairly arbitrarily made laws against it. There is scant evidence that it really does much permanent damage to the brain, though I'm sure it does some. It probably causes much less damage than alcohol, and even Jesus promoted drinking wine. There's no evidence that it causes any psychological addiction.

Having sex does not demean females in any way. I have sex all the time and still respect women and treat them with care. Lust is a great emotion. Like all emotions, it can be bad if you let it get out of hand. However, it is a wonderful emotion to enjoy at certain times.
Reply:you go to heaven with all of the other retarded eunichs, and I'll gladly got to hell and get stoned and laid--good luck to you!

Reply:You can get a better high of the Holy Spirit that won't destroy your brains cells, and fulfill you thorugh the reading of God's word. Praise the Lord!! The high you get from drugs is satan's counterfit. Dont fall for that.
Reply:Jesus is not a god.
Reply:First off...please attempt to make sense. I'm not sure if you were "speaking in tongues" on that first part or what.

And... "...respect for others-females too-..." Gee, thanks for the consideration, it's nice enough to know that us lowly women, that are apparetnly less then men (not), luck out enough to have you respect us.
Reply:Thanks, Taurus, for bringing up the point about how hard it must be to respect females...

Why is it loose sex OR marriage? I personally don't much go for the marriage thing (I think it's fine if you want it, but I see it as oddly untrustworthy somehow), but I'm in a committed relationship and I don't have sex outside of that one person.
Reply:I choose Jesus...as a matter of fact, I did choose Him, about 27 years ago! I do take exception to your comment, females too,...what is up with that?

My 5 yr old boy has an adult tooth growing in behind his lower teeth which are not even loose.?

My 5 yr old boy has an adult tooth growing in behind his lower teeth which are not even loose.?
ur just gonna have to wait. stuff like this is absouluely normal, but if it starts hurting, u may wanna put some ice
Reply:They may want to pull the baby tooth to make room for the new tooth.
Reply:It's very common for premature adult teeth to errupt. They won't do anything at this time. In due time the baby teeth will come out allowing the adult tooth to come in. Teeth grow up and should right itself, however, later in life he may need braces. If the tooth isn't causing any problems eating or painful, they will let nature take it's course. The natural position of all teeth is co-dependent, they lean on each other and the thrust of the tongue will push the tooth in proper position or as close as possible. At that time the dentist may need to recommend braces, etc...Don't worry, this is quit common.
Reply:don't worry

tooth growth varies a lot - and by the way, unlike quite a few people seem to think, "tooth age" (i.e. the age that would be deducted from the teeth that are growing / have been lost) is NOT correlated to "bone age", i.e. the real physical age. So a kid who gets adult teeth early is NOT a kid who will grow less - and the reverses also is not true.

It seems likely that your dentist will recommend to leave things alone, wait for the milk tooth to fall, probably wait for other nearby milk teeth to have fallen. And then he'll probably suggest some orthodontics in order to put the "crazy" tooth (or teeth?) back in line.

but again, don't worry
Reply:I had problems like this with both my children. One just couldn't handle the idea of pulling the tooth out even when it was loose. They were horribly crooked, yet as she grew the teeth straightned out about 95% on their own. She eventually had to have 2 teeth pulled because her mouth was small. The same happened with my other child except she didn't need any pulled. Neither required braces either but that would have been what came next.
Reply:I'll tell you what they will do. They will pull the tooth that the adult tooth is suppose to replace. It won't hurt you son, they will numb him and simply pull the tooth. I had the same thing done several years ago....... so I wouldn't worry, this is normal for quite a few children. He will probably have to have braces to pull the adult tooth down, but don't sweat it.

Why are our anterior (specifically the two front) teeth are supposed to be a tiny bit loose by nature?

That is, whenever eating, I am sure that it might have been noticed at times by others on here that one or both of the front teeth seem to have a very small fraction of mobility to them. I understand that. But my inquiry is WHY, exactly, since for me, personally, my teeth are (thankfully) just fine, and I can still feel/notice that one of my top front teeth sometimes has a tiny bit of mobility to it after I've eaten something, but then doesn't really move at all (if at all) when/if I haven't.

Is this for the sake of eating or what have you that this happens? Just honestly curious, so my apologies if this has been asked before, or I am not making much sense. (Just sadly, at times, too "paranoid" LoL)

(Oh, and before it's said that I perhaps may need to see a dentist because there might be something wrong with my front tooth, while I appreciate the concern, there is no need as I have just recently gone. Just asking an honest question, is all.)

Why are our anterior (specifically the two front) teeth are supposed to be a tiny bit loose by nature?
Every tooth in your mouth is always slightly mobile. The tooth is surrounded by the periodontal ligament. A tissue made up of thousands of tiny strands that attach your tooth to your jaw. The teeth do not touch your jaw bone directly under normal circumstances. This ligament which is from 0.1-0.15mm in thckness provides cushioning during function.

As and example. Bit normally and your teeth will fit together as they usually do.

Now, push on your canine tooth (Eye tooth) with a decent amount of force and bite down. It should feel different to you.

This is the ligament compressing due to the force.

Just relax and you'll be fine.
Reply:no it is not normal to be loose i would consult a dentist.
Reply:Not really a big deal, although you should see a dentist to make sure it is not more than normal. All teeth with force can move slightly.
Reply:Ur tooth is not properly fit into the jaw bone....and may be your periodontal ligaments not attached well to the tooth ... and of course U must see dentist in order not to lose it..

Tooth Loose after apieoctomy?

I had an apioectomy done on a front tooth to remove a cyst in the bone now 8 months ago.The tooth was previously root canalled. It feels fine most of the time and at other times, itseems sensitive. At my last exam by surgeon, tooth was still lose. He suggested my general dentist do a tooth splint to support it. She, my regular dentist says its a waste of time. She won't cap it because its loose. Do I have any alternatives? Can the 2 front teeth be bonded to straighten them and make them look better? There was no visible signs of infection on last exam about a month ago, but tooth is still loose. What do you think the prognosis is? After all the time, money, pain and effort, I desperately do not want to lose this tooth. Why isn't the bone graft firmiing up the tooth? Thanks.

Tooth Loose after apieoctomy?
Hi! I'm been in dentistry for over 25 years and I totally disagree with your dentist. I always splint a front tooth after an apico because without support they can come loose and the tooth is history. I wish you had spoken to the Oral Surgeon because we always recommend as a safe guard to temp. splint the tooth for 3-6 months until we are sure 1) the infection is gone 2) new bone has formed. The fact that it is still loose after all this time is not a good sign. It is well pass the "healing" period and I think you should make plans for an implant. I think you need a heart to heart with your dentist because she obviously is clueless about apico's and how to treat the tooth after. Why she did not listen to the Oral Surgeon is critical. The bone grafting has failed and you need to discuss a partial credit towards a restored implant. AND NO you can not put a crown on this tooth. It would be a total waste of monies and you will lose the tooth either way. Sorry, but you need to discuss this now and include the Oral Surgeon in on this as he can sink the implant after extraction, but you need to wear a flipper for 3-4 months. I wish I had better news, but a loose tooth after this length of time is gone.M

What is the best way to take out a six year old's loose tooth?

it is loose and he is not interested in wiggling it to make it more loose. any tips. we need the tooth out because his other one is growing out already.

What is the best way to take out a six year old's loose tooth?
Get some medi. that nums the gum like for tooth aches, tell the child you want to look at it and rub the medi. on it let it get num about 30 sec to 1 min. then look again and you wiggle it alittle to see how lose it is. it will fall out. Some take longer then others.
Reply:If he/she is anything like my six year old, forget it, he won't let me touch it. So, I gave him an apple and made him bite it and the tooth came out. This only works if they are not afraid of it coming out and if you don't tell them what your plan is.
Reply:punch him in his face. that should do it.
Reply:well when i was little my dad would tie a little string to my loose tooth and it would come right out, but i was pretty brave.
Reply:The apple idea works wonderful and it won't hurt at all. Don't cut it up. If he hates plain apples try a caramel apple.
Reply:the new one coming in will push the old one out eventually. I would say let it alone. If not then the apple trick may work too.

What would you have to do if your puppy has a loose tooth?

I have a 5 month old chihuahua with a loose canine tooth, am I supposed to do anything! Im really stressing and getting very scared about it! CAN SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!

What would you have to do if your puppy has a loose tooth?
No, leave it alone.
Reply:Nothing. Puppies lose their teeth just like children do.
Reply:when they lose their baby teeth, you will be finding them everywhere, especially in their food bowl. You don't have to do anything. Your dog is teething. They have been doing this for hundreds of thousands of years, your pup isn't worried, you don't need to worry. Just provide lots of chew toys, and puppy teething toys.
Reply:it will come out when the dog is playing or somethin...just leave it alone...thats why dogs teethe...its just like a baby
Reply:Dont do anything. It will fall out all by it self. If it is hanging on by a mear thread then pull it out. I have had to pull some of my pups teeth out when he had them just dangling there. Other wise it will fall out on its own. Stop stressing ok.
Reply:Just watch it that is does not break off it will fall out when it is ready if it is keeping it from eating good you could take it to a vet and let them go a head and get it out
Reply:First of all calm down this is normal!! Just like little kids they will loose there baby teeth and grow adult teeth, You should get your puppy something to chew on and maybe start gving him softer food, or just put water on the dry food . Your puppy will need somthing to chew on after the teeth come out and the new ones come in so make sure you give something to her/him so that your puppy doesnt chew up somthing like your shoes! Good Luck with your little one
Reply:Your puppy is getting ready to lose its baby tooth, just leave it alone, it will fall out on its own..
Reply:You don't have to do anything. Puppies lose their first teeth and permanent teeth grow in their place. This happens at about five months old so your dog is right on schedule. Remember when you were about six years old and lost your first tooth. This is the canine version of the same thing.
Reply:Since I grew up with a mom that never let a wiggling tooth alone, I guess I came by my habit naturally....if they're really loose, then they come out. I just pull them. Now, if the dog is totally opposed to such an idea, then I'll let them alone, they'll come out on their own in their own good time.
Reply:Check the gum if it looks really sore then consult your vet, if not the tooth will fall out when its ready, that is if its the first tooth, if its the adult tooth definately consult your vet.
Reply:my 5 month jack/pug JUST spit out a molar like 10 mins ago

and before that i just noticed blood on a few of his toys...he was panting and i saw he was missing his bottom fang, so im gonna guess he swallowed that one. so you could prolly leave it unless its dangling there=p

Do I loose my wisdom if i pull out wisdom teeth?

What if i dont get a wisdom teeth?

Do I loose my wisdom if i pull out wisdom teeth?
No dear u wont loose ur wisdom.

if their is space thn only u get tht tooth.....

so dont worry abt it bcoz its also a teeth only the one u get noramally
Reply:Nope, but you do lose teeth, blood, and the headaches that wisdom teeth can cause. :)
Reply:NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! wow that's dumb.
Reply:You'd only lose your wisdom if you pulled them out yourself. :)
Reply:If you have them already "the wisdom"..it will be there.
Reply:No.
Reply:not at all
Reply:"wisdom teeth" is just a name. don't worry. be happy.
Reply:NO...BUT YOU LOSE THE TEETH AND POSSIBLE FUTURE PROBLEMS
Reply:I would be very carefull, doesn't seem like you've got much "wisdom" to spare
Reply:Yes, you will lose Wisdom and have to work all your life until you Retire at 70 years old. Keep your Wisdom Teeth and you be wise and not have to work as much. Just ask people getting older and still working if the have their Wisdom Teeth. I bet most of them do not!!!
Reply:...i dont think you have anything to worry about ....
Reply:What the others won't tell you is what you fear the most. Your wisdom teeth do not actually contain wisdom itself, but much like a simple electronic circuit, the wisdom teeth complete the circuit of electrons to the brain that stimulate your wisdom. DO NOT HAVE THEM REMOVED!

Oh no, I have said too much... they will come for me, but you can be saved...
Reply:No,
Reply:no you don't lose your wisdom..actually it's unsafe to keep them in go figure we're born to get them ..then we need to get them yanked so we don't develop health problems ...
Reply:YEs you do.
Reply:Yes, and then you start asking questions like this.
Reply:"Wisdom teeth" are classified as molars. Molars are the chewing teeth found furthest in the back of the mouth. Most humans have first, second, and third molars.

A person's third molars are their wisdom teeth. These teeth come in behind the 2nd molars (if there is necessary room for them and they are aligned properly) usually during a person's late teens or early twenties. In most cultures, this is the ages of maturity, hence the term "wisdom." Usually there are four wisdom teeth: upper left, upper right, lower left, and lower right.

In dental terminology an "impacted tooth" refers to a tooth that has failed to arise completely into its expected position. This unfortunate failure to erupt precisely may occur either because there is not space enough in the jaw for the tooth, or because the tooth's angulation is improper. The impacted wisdom teeth often partially erupt at the later ages (45-55). Not only they are difficult to extract at that age, the healing time is much longer.

The alternative to having wisdom teeth removed is to keep them. A few lucky people are able to retain their wisdom teeth and care for them as they would their other teeth. People with large jaws (blacks and African) can often keep their wisdom teeth because their wisdom teeth have room to erupt properly in the mouth. But for most of us, this isn't possible, and a postponement in their removal can cause grave problems.

The most common problems linked with wisdom teeth include cavities, gum inflammation (pericoronitis), facial abscess (cellulitis), cyst, crowding (occlusal malaligment, and numbess (parathesia). In rare circumstances (about 3-5 in Texas each year), the wisdom teeth's infection can travel downward and cause airway obstruction and sudden death. Moreover, in traditional Chinese medicine, the four wisdom teeth are associated with the four chambers of the heart. A problem with the wisdom teeth creates a "block" in the Meridian (energy) system, leading to heart's trouble.
Reply:U B wise 2 have them removed before they make you miserable.
Reply:hmm i'm having the same dilemma so i'm chosing to keep my wisdom teeth because i dont' want to risk losing my wisdom. but aparently people say wisdom comes with age. but is that becaue i'm older now and my wisdom teeth have come thru? i don't care i'll deal with the pain and keep my wisdom
Reply:Not necessarily, but I know lots of stupid people with wisdom teeth!

My 5 months old puppy just lost her tooth & another one is getting loose in her mouth...?

Should I pull out the loose tooth in her mouth for her? Is it okay to feed her the normal dry puppy food she's been eating or is it too hard for her to eat? Should I feed her something special?

My 5 months old puppy just lost her tooth %26amp; another one is getting loose in her mouth...?
your puppy is getting her adult teeth. don't pull out the tooth it will fall out by itself.she is teething right now !! try wetting an old washcloth, put it in the freezer for a while.than give it to her to chew on.it cools and makes her gums numb,so she won't feel any pain.
Reply:Don't pull the tooth out. Let her work it out on her own. You can feed her the same thing you always do, because dogs teeth grow in really fast. Within a day or two, she'll probably be sprouting new ones.
Reply:Everything is fine and you do not need to get involved. It is part of the growing process. The puppy will get rid of the loose tooth through chewing toys. Sometimes soaking a puppy's toys (such as a rope bone) in water and then freezing it is enjoyable for a puppy since ice can act as an antagesic (pain killer)

You do not need to change her food. The dry is fine. If however, you do see her not eating her food as well, then offer her some wet food but if she's fine with the dry, keep her on the dry.

You have absolutely nothing to worry about. Just let the process happen :)
Reply:its natural for puppies to lose teeth, they will grow back, leave the loose tooth and maybe some water in the food to soften it up

good luck

What is the best ( fast) way to get a loose tooth out?

I have a really loose tooth ( on the top of my mouth ) I need to lose this one before I get my braces on. Help?

What is the best ( fast) way to get a loose tooth out?
bend it as far as it goes back, then far as it goes forward ,, then twist it to the right as far, twist it to the left as far, it should come right out , do it fast so it wont hurt!

p.s. when your doing all that ^^ hold the tooth with pressure
Reply:Rather than doing something extremely damaging to your mouth, if I were you, I'd call a local dentist, and make an appointment to have them take a look at it. They have all the tools necessary to extract a tooth if they think it's really important...

Trying to remove it yourself is a long, annoying process, that's really unnecessary.
Reply:Keep moving it in your mouth, then get floss tie it, and yank it out!

Is it ok for a cat who is 8 years to loose one of their fang teeth?

as all things age, teeth will deteriorate. Even more so for certain breeds like siamese or siamese mixes who are notorious for bad teeth even with proper dental cleanings. You can run things by your vet for advice on a possible cleaning and preventitive things.sometimes the hard foods that were helpful for younger cats to maintain healthy teeth, just make a senior cat's miserable as hard food are more difficult to chew on sensitive teeth and gums. Almost all of my cats have had siamese in them and ive always had to keep up with dental cleaning, proper diets, and as they aged mix wet with dry food to help ailing mouths. THis is common with seniors dogs and cats, as age deterimines a new life stage diet.

Is it ok for a cat who is 8 years to loose one of their fang teeth?
Possibly...if he never lost it before...
Reply:is your cat on wet food if so then it could've became a bad tooth
Reply:it's okay in the sense that it does happen. but you should have her checked by a vet to make sure she doesn't have dental disease, or need a dental cleaning etc. having bad teeth can cause other, more serious problem
Reply:yes, cats loose teeth as they get older. Take it to the vet if you notice difficulty chewing or blood. Consider giving your cat treats specifically for tartar and plaque control. If you notice it losing multiple teeth DEFINITELY get to a vet to have it checked out, it may be something even more serious.
Reply:I have 2 older cats and none have lost teeth. You have to check first if it fell out 'cause it bit something that was hard or something, cuz cats can get gingivitis (infection of the gums) and the infection can travel up to their brains and they might die if left untreated. This happened to one of my cats. If it's not due to infection, then i guess it's OK.
Reply:my cat broke both her fangs, I am not sure that someone wasn't mean to her but the teeth are fine and she can still catch rodents. you should have a vet check her if she seems to have an infection or if the root is there then they may need to come out so that an infection does not start, that can be very pricey. i would call the vet and see what they think, they will want to see her. wet food is not good on a daily basis as it will give the cat gum problems.
Reply:Never "OK". But if your cat is a Siamese or has some of that mix in her breeding, they tend to have weak teeth. She could have broken it off due to her breed.
Reply:I wouldn't say its "OK" but it certainly happens, in all breeds, not just Siamese. If his teeth are covered in plaque, he definitely needs a dental appointment with your vet. Did you know that bad teeth can cause heart problems? If this is the case, you should take him to get checked ASAP!
Reply:I have a ten year old who lost one of her teeth a couple years ago. I had never had her teeth cleaned. I immediately made an appointment to do just that, for both of my cats. Cats can get periodontal disease, which could cause them to loose multiple teeth, making eating difficult. Even if your cat has not lost any teeth, they should be cleaned every couple years or so at least. It's like taking them in for a regular checkup...prevention is best. Tooth cleaning can be expensive because they have to anesthetize the cat, but it's worth it to keep your cat healthy and happy!

My sister is 9 years old and she has a loose tooth?

we are all wondering in the house if its a primary tooth that will grow back or an adult tooth that is for life? its very loose but we are scared of pulling out like she always does just in case. we couldn't go see the dentist today so we have to wait until monday and im afraid its will fall or something.

My sister is 9 years old and she has a loose tooth?
If she is 9 years old it is more than likely tooth. If the tooth pains her just when she bites on it, that too is an indicator it is a loose baby tooth, an adult tooth would ache all the time, especially when lying down, throb, be sensitive to hot and cold, etc.

Charts enclosed to help.
Reply:If she is 9, it is most probably a primary tooth. And pulling it herself will save you money. If you h ave dental insurance, she should have a check up to discuss when she might be losing other primary teeth
Reply:she will be fine. I lost my last tooth when i was 12
Reply:You can find a chart of what primary teeth look like on this page:

http://www.cdha.ca/content/oralcare_cent...

This is what secondary (adult) teeth will look like:

http://catalog.nucleusinc.com/generateex...

I'm sure that if the tooth is so loose it might fall out any second, it is a primary tooth. Unless she was injured, that is probably the case. To be sure, wait until your appointment. Have her eat soft food in the mean time.

What do i do when i have a loose tooth with a cavity?

Anyone know what's the best thing to do when you have a loose tooth with a cavity?

What do i do when i have a loose tooth with a cavity?
It depends on the tooth, but in either case with decay involved you should see your dentist.

If this is a deciduous tooth the decay may have reached the permanent tooth as well, so it would need to be evaluated. When decay is present there could be infection, an infection may mean that this need to be treated with antibiotics along with an extraction of the deciduous tooth.

If this is a permanent tooth, it may need a simple filling, once the decay is taken care of, the tooth may "tighten up" in the socket again. It's possible that it may require some other type treatment such as splinting.

It's hard to say without knowing which tooth and how much decay, but your best bet is to see your dentist for a further evaluation so he can determine if saving or extracting is the best solution for your tooth.

I hope I've been of some help and good luck with your pending procedure.
Reply:Go to your dentist and get rid of it before the pain gets too bad!!!!
Reply:wait until it becomes really loose and pull it out your self to avoid pain. if its loose it doesn't matter if it has a cavity because its coming out anyway
Reply:Depends on the degree of the cavity and the looseness of the tooth. Definitely go to see your dentist. Especially if you'd like to potentially save it or not be in any pain.
Reply:If it isn't a baby tooth I suggest you go to the dentist. Hopefully they can fix both problems.
Reply:Go to the dentist. If it gets too bad, they won't be able to fix it and they'll have to pull it.

My son is freaking out over his first loose tooth. Can any one help with a sensitive way of dealing with this?

MY SON HAS SENSORY INTEGRATION ISSUES. PART OF THESE ISSUES ARE ORAL ADVERSIONS TO CERTAIN TEXTURES. I DON'T KNOW IF THIS HAS ANYTHING TO DO WITH HIM FREAKING OUT SO BAD. LAST NIGHT WHEN HE FIRST FIGURED OUT HIS TOOTH WAS LOOSE HE BEGAN VOMITING VIOLENTLY. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO HANDLE THIS SITUATION WITHOUT TRAUMATIZING HIM FOREVER.

My son is freaking out over his first loose tooth. Can any one help with a sensitive way of dealing with this?
Aww... that is so cute .I know it doesn't help you much but I can't help remebering when my son lost his first tooth last year it kind of freaked him out as well. Try explaining that his adult teeth are coming in and everyone loses their first set of teeth. Maybe make a game out of it like we had to do with the tooth fairy. Good luck and remeber to keep his tooth for when he's older to look back on. Ohh I wasn't making fun of him throwing up I feel bad for the little guy Good luck!

What's a good way to get a loose tooth out?

My tooth is loose, but not too lose, and it is killing my mouth. How do I get it out without pulling it?

What's a good way to get a loose tooth out?
Go to a dentist to have them remove it for you.
Reply:Keep wiggling it with your tongue. Eat something chewy like carmels or taffy. Maybe try biting into an apple. Those should all help to loosen it.
Reply:eat a wham bar.
Reply:if u feel pain and is not infected then your tooth still can be saled beter u go to dentish and he will recomand u the best, if is infected u must take medication 4 the infection and after that to take it off the tooth becose if not that infction can go to your head and u can be VERRY sick after.. belive me.
Reply:EVER DAY WIGGLE IT AND ONE DAY IT WILL COME LOOSE
Reply:Go to the dentist, so it don't get infected and worse. If you go trying to loosen it more it may not be good in the end. And the dentist can give you something for pain and infection. If you don't have enough money find a dentist that will let you get it done and make payments. Good luck!!!!!
Reply:I think the only way to get the tooth out....is by pulling it. You should go see a dentist to get it out. If it isn't too loose, you could risk breaking a root tip and leaving it behind. Good Luck!
Reply:put your tooth on a string and tidit on a doornob
Reply:Dude, you should go to the dentist or if you can't afford it go to a bar and get it punched out or wiggle it till it's out that's what I'm doing right now!!

What should I do if my cat has a loose tooth? It is a large tooth on the bottom.?

I noticed just the other day that my cat, about 7 years old, has a loose incisor tooth. Is this something that I can have fixed? It seems that even a small amount of pressure could dislodge it if I tried to pull it myself.

What should I do if my cat has a loose tooth? It is a large tooth on the bottom.?
Hi Shannon...if your 7 year old kitty has a loose tooth it could be indicative of gingival/periodontal disorder and affect all the other teeth as well. Consider ringing your vet to have him evaluated as soon as possible. It's best to watch the kitty rather than do anything with the teeth. If he's having trouble eating consider offering him canned food until he's seen with the vet.

Reply:Don't take it out your self.Take it to the vet right away. They will know what to do.
Reply:Other than ectoparasites, periodontal disease is the most common health problem in contemporary cats and dogs.

Periodontal disease refers to a collection of plaque-induced inflammatory conditions of the periodontal or surrounding tissues. Gingivitis, an early form of periodontal disease, refers to an inflammation of the gingiva.

Its clinical signs include red and/or swollen and bleeding gums. It is reversible. However, untreated gingivitis may develop into periodontitis with a loss of supporting tissues surrounding the teeth and can result in gingival pockets, recession of gums, bad breath odor, and tooth loss. It can also lead to bacterial infections spreading to other parts of the body.

A good home dental care program should include daily tooth brushing, a balanced diet, and treats/toys that help improve oral hygiene. Most pets also should have their teeth professionally cleaned on a regular basis. A good time to have the teeth cleaned is in conjunction with the pet's annal wellness check.

Proper dental care ranks among the most important yet frequently ignored preventive health measures among cats and dogs.

I would suggest not pulling out the incisor yourself, but to seek veterinary help first and foremost.

My 9 yr old son will not pull the loose tooth...?

My 9 yr old son will not pull his loose tooth in his mouth! It is just hanging by a thread and looks disgusting. I can't pull it out because I do not want to hurt him and he is willing to go around with a tooth that swings in his mouth. What should I do?

My 9 yr old son will not pull the loose tooth...?
Just let him get it out on his own. He will undoubtedly use his tongue to probe. If he pulls it out and there is too much gum tissue attached to the tooth, he could tear the gum tissue and cause lots of bleeding. It will detach in good time.
Reply:It will eventually fall out.
Reply:Leave him be . In the next couple of days it will fall out on its own - probably when he's eating.
Reply:It will come on out when the permanent tooth begins to grow.
Reply:Karen,

Just leave it be. Eventually the tooth will fall out and he will probabbly come running to you to show you how 'cool' it is. He may even decide to pull it his own self so don't worry or stress about it at all.
Reply:I used to do that too! I was such a "baby" when it came to pulling out my loose teeth and I wouldn't let anyone else near me. It will eventually fall out on its own. If it is that loose, you can also try and trick him into eating something that will make it fall out - kinda like the whole eating an apple theory.
Reply:A lot of kids are like that, I was. It actually hurts a lot if you try to yank it out even when it's hanging on by a thread. It will probably come right out next time he eats something. This is not out of the norm. Just let it come out on its own or if he pulls it out on his own. no biggie.

I would use caution if you use this method. I recommend knowing a bit about hypnosis first. This is a very powerful technique.
Reply:Buy some oragel and numb it up before trying to pull it and have a glass of ice water near by to wash his mouth out as soon as the tooth comes out. In the past week between two kids I have pulled 4 teeth without a tear or whimper because I numb it first

What is a temporary fix for a loose tooth?

My mom has a very loose tooth in the front of her mouth and she wants to know if there is something that she can do to keep it in place until she can get in to see a denist.

What is a temporary fix for a loose tooth?
Use back teeth to chew if necessary; stick to soft food until you get help. Use Orajel or another topical numbing agent to ease the pain. You can try a small, wet piece of cotton coated with this stuff to stabilize it. Take a sleeping aid cause it will keep you awake. GO TO DENTIST ASAP! It only gets worse with time. Take an NSAID for pain.
Reply:Don't wiggle it or chew with it
Reply:Wrap bubble gum around it?
Reply:i was going to say pull it out, but since she's an adult, that might not be a good idea. lol. ummm, not sure what you can do, just try not to eat anything hard, until she can see the dentist.
Reply:eventually it'll come out
Reply:1 dollar,
Reply:Caulk. Fill your mouth with caulk.
Reply:TELL YOUR MOM NOT TO TOUCH IT WITH HER OTHER TEETH OR TONGUE
Reply:you can get it surgically reamoved and then get a fake one

or you can pull it out and hope a new one will grow in
Reply:Anbesol or Oragel
Reply:If it's loose nothing is gonna keep it in place, the dentist will probably remove it....
Reply:A retainer will hold the tooth in place until a dentist looks at it. Depending on what loosened the tooth in the first place, sometimes a tooth can tighten back up again. Be careful while eating and avoid hard foods and/or gummy/sticky candies. Try not to wiggle the tooth and for the most part leave it alone.
Reply:There is really nothing one can do to fix loose tooth, if painful one can use clove oil to assist in reducing the pain
Reply:There is no remedy for a loose adult tooth, other than having it removed. Usually the reason an adult tooth is loose is because there is very little bone support around it. Your mom needs to get into a dentist as soon as possible and have it removed. She can have a flipper made to replace the tooth or a partial denture, but at this point that tooth is beyond repair.

If the tooth were just slightly mobile the dentist could make a splint, bonding that tooth to the adjacent tooth/teeth,in hopes of buying your mom a little time, but as an end result, would also cause more problems for the adjacent teeth eventually.
Reply:If the tooth just loosened on it's own then she has GUM DISEASE(BAD) there's nothing she can do. Eventually the all will loosen and fall out.

How to pull out my little brothers loose tooth?

Ok my brother broke his tooth in half 3 days ago. The other half is very loose and looks like it can come out with a nudge that wont hert. But it wont a simple nudge wont do it...And we dont want to apply to much pressure to hurt him. My dad says to pull it out hard but we dont want to hurt him. So how do we get it out. I need anyones help but we dont want to hurt him at all. So if anyone can help me it would be wonderful. Please help us!! thank you

How to pull out my little brothers loose tooth?
Somebody needs to punch him in the mouth. That's how me and my brothers would lossen up baby teeth with each other, even my sister would get a few punches in!
Reply:pliers
Reply:Take him to the dentist where they can numb it to pull it. The tooth can die if it is broken and could also become infected. If it isn't otherwise ready to be pulled I would take him to the dentist. Good luck poor guy.
Reply:Could do what our grandparents always said they had done to them, string on the tooth to the door knob...LOL JK dont you dare do that. But its still gonna hurt. I say get to the dentist and let them do it right. That way they can minimize the pain to him and theres no lasting effects if done at home.Just and idea is all.
Reply:have him eat anythig with caramel that will get it out or eat apple
Reply:Here's what I always did with my girls when they were small and had a loose toothe....

I told them I needed to dry off their tooth to see just ho;w loose it was, then I got a dry washcloth and used it to grip the tooth, made them look up at the ceiling while I was "drying" off the tooth. Then I would grip the tooth the best I could with the washcloth adn yank it out. If it didn't come out then w;th the first pull, I took them to the dentist or made them eat an apple. Usaually it came right out. Good luck to you and the lil man!!
Reply:Fast is good. Grip and rip, then hand the kid a piece of candy. Candy fixes alot of trauma
Reply:Needle nose pliers thats how much first one was pulled out, hurts for a second. Apples, corn on the cob they all could hurt or you can just let it work itself out
Reply:Omg why the hell would u resort to force... Just let him live with it for a while and it will drop by itself. This method is neither painful or bloody.
Reply:Is it a baby tooth? How old is your brother?

Please don't try to pull it out for him, let him see a dentist or- even better- an oral surgeon. When it gets pulled out the whole tooth needs to come out, including the roots. Unless you have the proper instruments you could leave fragments behind that could cause an infection!

Reply:If it's a permanent tooth--you should do everything to keep it. However, if you're still intent on taking it out I'd suggest a little kit at Walgreen's with a red cross on it. It comes with pain killer/antiseptic, tweezers, and cotton swabs. If you're not able to find it, ask the pharmacist. When you're ready to use it, take the tweezers and dab a piece of cotton in the liquid pain killer/antiseptic, put it on the tooth's gums where it may hurt if you're going to pull it out. Do this until the area is numb and move the tooth around until it comes out. Hope this helps!
Reply:Top 12 Ways to get rid of loose teeth (some may be painful as said in your question but not too badly.):

1.Tie your tooth to a string and tie the string to the doorknob. Then shut the door. It will come out painlessly (i think) but don't do it if you're scared as you said!

2.Get a dry cloth or maybe use your shirt and grip the tooth. Pull until out.

3.Whatever direction the tooth is NOT loose in, push toward that direction. Keep pushing and it will pop out. (i lost a tooth yesterday that way!) it really hurts but for only 5 seconds then it comes out!

4.Just gently pull it. This may take awhile.

5.Have a famliy member or someone you trust pull it out using step 2, 3, or 4.

6.Just go to the dentist and have it pulled.

7.Eat an apple or some corn. It will come out without even being felt, but there will be blood everywhere!

8.Twist it around and pull it out.

9.Just wait for it to come out, maybe in your sleep or when you least expect it

10.Play with it! Use your tongue! Use your fingers! Push it around with your other teeth!

11.Just pull it out! Don't be scared!

12.Have someone punch it out (lol jk)
Reply:Ok, If you are an adult there is something wrong for your tooth to be loose so see your dentist.
Reply:A loose tooth needs to be looked at by a dentist or hygienist.

Depends on your age too..if it is a permanent tooth. Then the Dentist will give you advice. Please no pulling your self because you will still require some Dental care.

Well what should i do about this loose tooth i have?

i have this loose tooth and i don't have my dentist card yet but it will hurt if i pull it what should i do? HELP!!!!!!

Well what should i do about this loose tooth i have?
If it doesn't hurt just let it be and it may fall out by itself. Then you can put it under your pillow and get some cash.
Reply:If it's a baby tooth, just drink a milk shake or a Slurpee or an Ice-ee with the straw near your lookse tooth and then - BAMMO - snatch it outta there while it's still really cold.
Reply:How old are you? Most people loose baby teeth by the time there 17 to either your young, or you need to look up a dentist in the phone book and get that removed asap.
Reply:Depends on where it at. We would tie a string around it and then to a Door Knob. Slam the Door and it jerk the tooth out. Really not hurt that much, just loosen it best you can first by pressing on it in both directions, your eyes may water a little.
Reply:If you have a loose tooth and you PLAN on going to the Dentist, dont do anything. If it's a permanent tooth, the Dentist may be able to save it. If it's a baby tooth, it may not be a problem, just let it fall out naturally.
Reply:If it doesn't hurt wait until you can see the dentist.
Reply:Just nurse it until it comes out then when it does go 2 dentist and have a bridge fitted.

I had a loose bottom front tooth for over 2 year's and it got looser and looser until one day i got up in the morning and it kinda went right back and come out and it didn't hurt 1 bit
Reply:Well, if your still in your tooth loosing stage of life don't worrie about it. If your not, and it's an adult tooth, go to a dentist and have it pulled. If not it will start rotting and that's not attractive on anyone.

What does it mean when you dream of loosing teeth?

several nights in a row, ive dreamed that my teeth were all falling out one by one and i am not too sure what this dream would mean...i heard it might mean a sense of loosing control or stress...this dream really freaks me out and feels so real that when i wake i check to make sure all my teeth are still intact.

What does it mean when you dream of loosing teeth?
a sense of loss
Reply:wtf? thats weird
Reply:It means you are afraid of death.
Reply:u know 6 years ago i had dat dream..except it went for like 2-3 days...but i dont think it means nothing just some weird dreams
Reply:It means you are going to have some real expensive dental bills soon!
Reply:Its means you are keeping something in a secret and your subconscious is telling you to fess up . I had a similiar dream before.
Reply:Teeth falling out dreams mean that you are unable to understand the events and attitudes of your daily life, and you know it. You need to learn how to consciously assimilate. Try journaling, taking a few minutes to simply breath throughout the day, TALK with people that are more knowledgable than you... seek guidance about what you want in life.

If you want to know how I got that from your dream, visit www.dreamschool.org
Reply:I have had that same dream many times! my friend got a great dream book for x-mas and it said that people dream of loosing teeth if they are stressed about money. it actually is a common dream... should be easy to find more information somewhere! Good Luck!
Reply:I have had those dreams. I think it is the subconscious fear of losing them due to guilt of not taking care of them properly. I have to get an implant for one tooth I have missing. $1800 for a titanium implant, 400 for a crown plus little add-ons and my regular visits every four months. Plus I have to have the implant looked at every 6 months besides my regular dentist. That is where fear of losing teeth dreams are legitimate. My hats off to all the toothless ones out there. You are better than me. I need my teeth and can't see having false choppers until I have done everything I can to avoid them.
Reply:One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, whether it be a dazzling and gleaming smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may stem from a fear of your sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old. Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.?

Another rationalization for these falling teeth dream may be rooted in your fear of being embarrassed or making a fool of yourself in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety.?

Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.

In the latest research, it has been shown that women in menopause have frequent dreams about teeth. This may be related to getting older and/or feeling unattractive and less feminine.

Traditionally, it was thought that dreaming that you did not have teeth, represent malnutrition which may be applicable to some dreamers.
Reply:Loss of control in your life. I have this dream lots!

HTH : )
Reply:retainers perhapse? no. in all seriousness i agree with a few answers. howeve allow us to analyze the elements; your teeth, the fact that you have this dream a numerous amount of times and the fact that you are traumatized by this.the teeth are probably one of our most valuable assets. and perhapse thats why they are called"pearly whites" and because of dental bills. the fact that it is repititious is also important. perhapse there is a pressing matter that you need to take care of and are afrad to face the facts. ponder on this for a while and it will fo away. another theory is that this dream is nothing more than flim-flam.
Reply:I've heard it means death. not definitely yours but someone close to you. was there blood? if no, this means it might be someone of your relatives but not as familiar.

hope i didn't scare you, that's just what they say in our country...

Has anyone every pulled out there own tooth ..that was loose .or that was painful ??

my partner had a loose tooth very loose so got the pliers on it and out it popped ,,it healed up quicker than it would of done going to a dentist ..and yes he did sterilise the pliers!!

Has anyone every pulled out there own tooth ..that was loose .or that was painful ??
My wife took quite a few of hers out herself before she finally had them all pulled out. She had gum problems tho and all her teeth started getting loose when she was about to start high school. She wouldn't leave them alone and stop wiggling them. They got so loose she took some out with just her fingers or a piece of floss. It wasn't long before she had hardly any teeth left so she had the rest pulled out and got fake ones when she was 15. No problems after that tho.
Reply:Yeah my husband pulled my out last week. The pain went straight away and it has healed now.
Reply:Yup..it was a lot quicker than waiting for the dentist, no needles jammed into the roof of my mouth, and the bleeding stopped in a few minutes.
Reply:yes and yes it did hurt, but not as much as if the dentist had done it. you have a higher pain threshold if you do things to yourself, rather than other ppl doing things to you xx
Reply:very loose? then why did he need pliers? i pulled out my loose teeth too, but they were only baby teeth, and not that painful. it bled alot, but it was easy as could be to pull
Reply:My stepson never goes to the dentist because he's too scared, and he's terrified of needles. When he had a loose, bad tooth he dug it out with a pen top, then used salt to stop any infection. There's no way I could do that.

On a different note, I read a story of an African woman who during a civil war got shot several times in her arm. The arm went gangrenous but she was unable to get any medical help. One day she pulled at it and it came off. She survived to tell the tale and started a small business to provide for her children.
Reply:lol. don't do that until your tooth is very lose. i twisted mines all around because i thought it was ready. if you want it to come out really fast try eating something. something u can sink your teeth in to. (nooo i don't mean candy) but something thats good for you
Reply:Yes after pressing the tooth towards the back of my mouth just a crack and out it came, no pain
Reply:Blimey he's a brave man!!! Saved a dentist bill too!
Reply:Kite string 5 foot long tied to a big sturdy wooden door with big door handle, with the other end attached to the tooth with a little slack. Let out a good scream and slam the door shut!!!!!!
Reply:I hooked a 10lb fishing line to my loose tooth and tied that to a 20lb weight. I dropped the weight. The line snapped and my tooth didn't come out. The 20lb weight landed on my foot and broke my big toe.

I would like approximate cost of extracting a loose tooth with loose crown covering it?

The actual tooth under the crown is loose and is now getting painful.

Ballpark of $100-150, if the tooth is actually loose. With a loose crown, it may be hard for you to tell, though.

How do I take out a loose tooth?

It's my last baby tooth and its pretty loose.

How do I take out a loose tooth?
dont pull it. It will come out by itself. Probably when you are eating. I remember one of mine came out when I was eating a pizza lunchable.
Reply:Well my last baby tooth i never touched it and it when it came off i didnt loose any blood or anything, but an easy way that doesn't hurt (at least not me) is to get a piece of string and tie it to your tooth with one end and the other one to a door knob and then close the door so that it will pull out your tooth very quickly. And when its out get some water with some salt in it so that it wont bleed.
Reply:Tie a piece of strong thread around the tooth, tie the other

end to a doorknob then slam the door (I did that once-it

works) or just keep wiggling it till it gives up....or eat a

really crunchy apple - i lost a tooth that way and swallowed

it without realizing it was stuck in the apple.
Reply:Just pull it, try and get your fingernail under it and twist.

Is there a way to figure out if a loose tooth has already fallen out and now is an adult tooth?

I have a loose tooth, but i cant remember if it has already fallen out or not. if it is an adult tooth, i don't want to wiggle it. please...help so that i can wiggle in peace

Is there a way to figure out if a loose tooth has already fallen out and now is an adult tooth?
If you are under 15.

Its probubly a baby tooth

Check this website and find out.
Reply:There is a difference. My method of finding if it is a adult tooth or still a baby tooth is quite simple. All there is to it is that the baby tooth will be a bit whiter than the adult teeth. I don't know why, but that is the truth and how I find out if there is someone with an adult or baby tooth. Hope I helped!
Reply:As a rule permanent teeth don't wiggle (as you put it) unless there is a serious bone loss problem and at your age (I'm guessing your under thirteen) bone loss is not normal in an otherwise healthy person. Baby teeth wiggle because they have little to no extended root on them. You may recall that when baby teeth has come out in the past, they looked more like say, a hat or cap, adult teeth have roots from one quarter to half inch in length. If your say 12 years of age you are probably finally cutting your 12 year molars....If this is an issue you can't deal with ask your parents to get you an appointment for a dental exam...If you haven't had one in a year, you need one anyway, Good luck and I wish you well.
Reply:If its loose, wiggle it, chances are its a deciduous tooth. A permanent tooth won't come out even if you wiggle it, the roots are too long.

The best way to handle a loose tooth?

My little brother needs to know becuase he has a loose tooth.what is the less painful way?

The best way to handle a loose tooth?
Tie some string to a door knob and to the tooth , shut the door gently %26amp; it will pop off with minimal pain and bleeding
Reply:wiggle it gently off and on until eventually it will loosen up and fall out on its own without all the pain of pulling on it..but if it doesn't seem to want to come out..sometimes you just have to go to the dentist and have them pull them..most of my baby teeth had to be pulled...it's not painful..just feels odd
Reply:see a dent less painful

Help! What to do about a loose tooth?

If an adult has a tooth loose, seemingly cracked at the base, near the gum, can he try to hold onto it--keep it in place-- until he can get to the dentist? Could a dentist repair it so it stays there?

Help! What to do about a loose tooth?
If the tooth is cracked in the root and is loose as a result, it will be difficult to retain. Without x-rays and a good exam the question cannot be answered with certainty. You should see your dentist as soon as possible as an infection is a possibility in this situation. Good Luck!
Reply:The tooth will never be the same and should be considered lost. Consider a bridge or implant.
Reply:As a lawyer I can saw without qualification that you should ask a Dentist
Reply:call a dentist today... maybe some one can see you now
Reply:He can get a root canal and see if it is worth holding onto. It may or may not be.
Reply:an x-ray and exam is needed to see how and where the tooth is cracked.

if it feels loose it's best to see a dentist ASAP. cracks can allow in bacteria causing more problems.

My 5 year old has her first loose tooth. Question...?

My 5 year old daughter has her first loose tooth. The permanent tooth is already growing in behind it. Is this normal? Should I try to speed up the loosening??

My 5 year old has her first loose tooth. Question...?
Dentist can help you.
Reply:its perfectly normal don't worry no worries!! lol =) =0
Reply:I'd consult a dentist 1st, but I'm sure that the new tooth would need room to grow in straight
Reply:go to the dentist and they will tell u what to do
Reply:It happens. Just wiggling it will loosen it but I don't think anything other that that will loosen it faster.
Reply:Ya that happened to me before. Nothing to worry.
Reply:no...let it go and try not let her eat things that are hard.....If it breaks to early it could be bloody and cause infection...
Reply:The tooth will come out. If you are really that concerned, take her to the dentist. They'll get it out quickly and efficiently without the drama you'll get at home trying to get it out.
Reply:It's normal. Teeth will fall out when they need to fall out and new tooth will come when they are ready to come.

The reason a tooth becomes loose is because the permanent one under it is pushing it out.

Just make sure you teach your daughter how to brush her teeth and get her in the habit because these permanent one's are hers forever.

No need to loosen it. The child will mess with it so much that it will loosen without you doing anything.
Reply:That is perfectly normal and perhaps the reason why the baby tooth is loose. I would take a look at it on a daily basis. If it doesn't come out on its own in a week, I would take her to the dentist and have it extracted.

Awww, her first tooth :-)
Reply:get the baby tooth out cause that can cause her teeth 2 be a litte crocked trying 2 push that tooth out
Reply:Its sounds very normal

I myself lost my tooth in preschool when i was 5-nothing to worry about.

The tooth itself will loosen at its own pace seeing as the other tooth is right behind it
Reply:let it come out naturally
Reply:yes! it is important! If you don't pull it out, when your daughter gets older, the teeth is going to be like back when your other tooths is suppose to be up!
Reply:All absolutely normal. She will probably speed up the process herself by wriggling it. Mine did. Better research the going rate for the lost tooth. You have a new job. You are now the tooth fairy!
Reply:sounds normal. my mother tricked me by shinning up the redest apple,i was so excited and bit right into it. my tooth came out without her hurting me.
Reply:let nature take its course but a little tip raw carrot or celery may help if the tooth is very loose , if she is in a lot of pain, then consult dentist
Reply:She's absolutely fine. It happened with almost everyone of my teeth and mine are perfectly straight and healthy.
Reply:leave it alone. there's nothing as scary as having some darned adult yank out your baby teeth. it will fall out when it's good and ready.
Reply:Yes it's normal. You may want to speed up the loosining because the tooth growing in behind could get crooked! Hoe I Helped!
Reply:Just leave it alone, it will likely be gone by the end of the week. If it is giving her trouble, pop into the dentist's office and s/he can just pull it out really quickly (with some numbing if necessary).
Reply:This is totally normal! My teeth started growing in before the temporary ones got loose! She just has what's called "fast teeth". At least I think that's the proper term. LOL! Hope this helped you! :)
Reply:my son had the same problem .its not that big a deal but to would see a dentist because that is the only time our dentist pulls baby teeth.
Reply:Duh...yeah very "normal". let the loose tooth work it's way out by itself.
Reply:The tooth will come out when it's ready. If it looks like the baby tooth isn't able to come out, then take her to the dentist and he can see if it needs to be pulled or not.
Reply:i had that before so dont worry

My poor little kities... help... loosing teeth.?

I have 10 cats in my house and 3 of them are loosing their teeth, my little girl LuLu has not been fixed, My little Boy Sushi is fixed, and my other little buy C.C. is fixed as well... they all eat the same brand of food, and they all have the same diet and routine. But it's weird, all the other cats are fine. Help! I dont know whats going on!

My poor little kities... help... loosing teeth.?
A good idea would be to ask your vet to check your cat’s teeth. Sometimes cats need to have their teeth cleaned, although usually they are slightly older when this is called upon.

http://www.hofsport.com/vetadviceforfree...

for you if you need to ask anymore kitty questions :) Meow
Reply:Take them to the Vet
Reply:Kittens will lose teeth, but if they are adult cats take them to the vet.
Reply:have you taken kitties to a vet? if not, i would highly suggest you do. cats need dental cleanings just like humans do. it may sound funny, but some cats are more prone to having teeth and tarter build up than others. left untreated, teeth will fall out, or become infected, as well as infection in the gums. i had a cat that needed regular dental cleanings once every two years, as were my other two cats did not need cleanings. only a vet can determine if cleanings are needed. and i would say if teeth are falling out, a teeth cleaning is long over due. get em checked asap.
Reply:Are they babies because baby's do loose baby teeth. If not I would take them to the vet.
Reply:Awwwwwwwww.I feel so sorry for you.Maybe you should take them to a vet.I love cats.I would be freaking out if that happened to my cats.
Reply:Are some of the cats older then the others. Because cats do lose there teeth when they get older. They told me now that my cats is turning 11 that I should start watching for that. They told me to keep giving him hard food but if he starts to act like he don't want to eat it to give him more wet food.
Reply:take them to the vet or call the vet and ask for advice so u won't have to pay
Reply:how old are they? What teeth are they losing? If they are young they just could be losing their baby teeth, if they are older and losing incisors that is pretty normal. If they are losing molars or canines they could have dental disease and may need a teeth cleaning.
