I have a loose cap on one of my top teeth. Does anyone have an estimate of how much a dentist would charge?

to fix this? I've heard of using over the counter adhesives, but its sort of scary to remove it all the way myself......my dental insurance doesn't kick in til April and I am a little concerned about the cost. thanks

If it is just loose, with no decay, your dentist may be kind enough to recement it at no charge. If he did not perform the original procedure or if it is a very old restoration he may charge you anything between $50.00-$100.00.

However, if the crown is not restorable or if there is decay underneath, you may need another crown. At least go get an exam. It may even be no charge.
