My 5 year old has her first loose tooth. Question...?

My 5 year old daughter has her first loose tooth. The permanent tooth is already growing in behind it. Is this normal? Should I try to speed up the loosening??

My 5 year old has her first loose tooth. Question...?
Dentist can help you.
Reply:its perfectly normal don't worry no worries!! lol =) =0
Reply:I'd consult a dentist 1st, but I'm sure that the new tooth would need room to grow in straight
Reply:go to the dentist and they will tell u what to do
Reply:It happens. Just wiggling it will loosen it but I don't think anything other that that will loosen it faster.
Reply:Ya that happened to me before. Nothing to worry.
Reply:no...let it go and try not let her eat things that are hard.....If it breaks to early it could be bloody and cause infection...
Reply:The tooth will come out. If you are really that concerned, take her to the dentist. They'll get it out quickly and efficiently without the drama you'll get at home trying to get it out.
Reply:It's normal. Teeth will fall out when they need to fall out and new tooth will come when they are ready to come.

The reason a tooth becomes loose is because the permanent one under it is pushing it out.

Just make sure you teach your daughter how to brush her teeth and get her in the habit because these permanent one's are hers forever.

No need to loosen it. The child will mess with it so much that it will loosen without you doing anything.
Reply:That is perfectly normal and perhaps the reason why the baby tooth is loose. I would take a look at it on a daily basis. If it doesn't come out on its own in a week, I would take her to the dentist and have it extracted.

Awww, her first tooth :-)
Reply:get the baby tooth out cause that can cause her teeth 2 be a litte crocked trying 2 push that tooth out
Reply:Its sounds very normal

I myself lost my tooth in preschool when i was 5-nothing to worry about.

The tooth itself will loosen at its own pace seeing as the other tooth is right behind it
Reply:let it come out naturally
Reply:yes! it is important! If you don't pull it out, when your daughter gets older, the teeth is going to be like back when your other tooths is suppose to be up!
Reply:All absolutely normal. She will probably speed up the process herself by wriggling it. Mine did. Better research the going rate for the lost tooth. You have a new job. You are now the tooth fairy!
Reply:sounds normal. my mother tricked me by shinning up the redest apple,i was so excited and bit right into it. my tooth came out without her hurting me.
Reply:let nature take its course but a little tip raw carrot or celery may help if the tooth is very loose , if she is in a lot of pain, then consult dentist
Reply:She's absolutely fine. It happened with almost everyone of my teeth and mine are perfectly straight and healthy.
Reply:leave it alone. there's nothing as scary as having some darned adult yank out your baby teeth. it will fall out when it's good and ready.
Reply:Yes it's normal. You may want to speed up the loosining because the tooth growing in behind could get crooked! Hoe I Helped!
Reply:Just leave it alone, it will likely be gone by the end of the week. If it is giving her trouble, pop into the dentist's office and s/he can just pull it out really quickly (with some numbing if necessary).
Reply:This is totally normal! My teeth started growing in before the temporary ones got loose! She just has what's called "fast teeth". At least I think that's the proper term. LOL! Hope this helped you! :)
Reply:my son had the same problem .its not that big a deal but to would see a dentist because that is the only time our dentist pulls baby teeth.
Reply:Duh...yeah very "normal". let the loose tooth work it's way out by itself.
Reply:The tooth will come out when it's ready. If it looks like the baby tooth isn't able to come out, then take her to the dentist and he can see if it needs to be pulled or not.
Reply:i had that before so dont worry
