What does it mean when you dream of loosing teeth?

several nights in a row, ive dreamed that my teeth were all falling out one by one and i am not too sure what this dream would mean...i heard it might mean a sense of loosing control or stress...this dream really freaks me out and feels so real that when i wake i check to make sure all my teeth are still intact.

What does it mean when you dream of loosing teeth?
a sense of loss
Reply:wtf? thats weird
Reply:It means you are afraid of death.
Reply:u know 6 years ago i had dat dream..except it went for like 2-3 days...but i dont think it means nothing just some weird dreams
Reply:It means you are going to have some real expensive dental bills soon!
Reply:Its means you are keeping something in a secret and your subconscious is telling you to fess up . I had a similiar dream before.
Reply:Teeth falling out dreams mean that you are unable to understand the events and attitudes of your daily life, and you know it. You need to learn how to consciously assimilate. Try journaling, taking a few minutes to simply breath throughout the day, TALK with people that are more knowledgable than you... seek guidance about what you want in life.

Reply:I have had that same dream many times! my friend got a great dream book for x-mas and it said that people dream of loosing teeth if they are stressed about money. it actually is a common dream... should be easy to find more information somewhere! Good Luck!
Reply:I have had those dreams. I think it is the subconscious fear of losing them due to guilt of not taking care of them properly. I have to get an implant for one tooth I have missing. $1800 for a titanium implant, 400 for a crown plus little add-ons and my regular visits every four months. Plus I have to have the implant looked at every 6 months besides my regular dentist. That is where fear of losing teeth dreams are legitimate. My hats off to all the toothless ones out there. You are better than me. I need my teeth and can't see having false choppers until I have done everything I can to avoid them.
Reply:One theory is that dreams about your teeth reflect your anxiety about your appearance and how others perceive you. Sadly, we live in a world where good looks are valued highly and your teeth play an important role in conveying that image. Teeth are used in the game of flirtations, whether it be a dazzling and gleaming smile or affectionate necking. These dreams may stem from a fear of your sexual impotence or the consequences of getting old. Teeth are an important feature of our attractiveness and presentation to others. Everybody worries about how they appear to others. Caring about our appearance is natural and healthy.?

Another rationalization for these falling teeth dream may be rooted in your fear of being embarrassed or making a fool of yourself in some specific situation. These dreams are an over-exaggeration of your worries and anxiety.?

Teeth are used to bite, tear, chew and gnaw. In this regard, teeth represent power. And the loss of teeth in your dream may be from a sense of powerlessness. Are you lacking power in some current situation? Perhaps you are having difficulties expressing yourself or getting your point across. You feel frustrated when your voice is not being heard. You may be experiencing feelings of inferiority and a lack of self-confidence in some situation or relationship in your life. This dream is an indication that you need to be more assertive and believe in the value of your own opinion.

In the latest research, it has been shown that women in menopause have frequent dreams about teeth. This may be related to getting older and/or feeling unattractive and less feminine.

Traditionally, it was thought that dreaming that you did not have teeth, represent malnutrition which may be applicable to some dreamers.
Reply:Loss of control in your life. I have this dream lots!

HTH : )
Reply:retainers perhapse? no. in all seriousness i agree with a few answers. howeve allow us to analyze the elements; your teeth, the fact that you have this dream a numerous amount of times and the fact that you are traumatized by this.the teeth are probably one of our most valuable assets. and perhapse thats why they are called"pearly whites" and because of dental bills. the fact that it is repititious is also important. perhapse there is a pressing matter that you need to take care of and are afrad to face the facts. ponder on this for a while and it will fo away. another theory is that this dream is nothing more than flim-flam.
Reply:I've heard it means death. not definitely yours but someone close to you. was there blood? if no, this means it might be someone of your relatives but not as familiar.

hope i didn't scare you, that's just what they say in our country...
