Have a dentist take it out for you. Sounds like the tooth is broken and will prob not come out in one piece. If you pull out the broken part, it may or may not come out easily, and if it does, your temporary relief will be short lived. If you leave a piece behind, that only leads to more possible infection, and more bone loss which could result in more teeth being lost. The fact that it has gone on this long is not a good thing. The dentist should keep very detailed notes that can be submitted for any trial or court reasons, and also duplicated x-rays. As far as replacement options, talk to your dentist about that. It could mean a bridge, or maybe even an implant if you are a candidate. Sorry this happened, but the bottom line is---see the dentist, quit waiting around and suffering.
Reply:Sue. Press charges and sue for the medical bill. Move away though.

What is a Chav Gang? Why were you beaten up by them?
Reply:Most states have a crime victim compensation fund. Was the crime reported to police? If so, ask if you are entitled to any help with the medical/dental bills resulting from your assault.
Reply:It sounds like the ligament that holds you tooth in place was damaged and that the previous dentist tried to repair it using the dressings. Unfortunately it isn't a guaranteed thing.

Do not attempt to remove the tooth yourself, it really is best to have the dentist remove it.

Generally when a dentist requires a tooth to be pulled he will prescribe antibiotics which you would take several days before the extraction. After the tooth is removed you may or may not need stitches (even with the tooth being loose). The dentist will also be able to control the bleeding as well. A blood clot will form in the extraction socket and it is an important part of the healing process. Pulling the tooth out yourself may seem like a simple and easy thing to do because of how loose it is, but the amount of bacteria in one's mouth is astounding, and an infection in the mouth can spread easy and rapidly to other parts of the body. It really isn't worth it and a tooth extraction is generally less then 150$
Reply:Pulling the tooth out yourself is fine, but sounds like the tooth is fractured and won't come out in one piece, seek a DDS.
Reply:you need no be too worried...

I broke, yes broke my two front tooth ones too..

I fell into a rock hard pool wall face-first and broke the whole front of my mouth and both teeth broke into two.. the part which sticks out your gum, and the root part.. I got a full root-canal (for free cause i have CSC) treatment and luckily didnt need any crowning... You should try.. If root-canal doesnt work, you can try crowning.. it may be painful, but hey, You need your teeth man..

and who's this bastard gang? Where they located.. you can email me personally with the details at: adiprene11@yahoo.com.sg..

I usually patrol in Bedok, Eunos, Tampines, Pasir Ris.. tell me where they are aite? And no, I'm not a rival gang.. just a good citizen watching out for trouble
