When is the average age this begins to happen?
My son is six and none of his teeth are even loose yet.?
Don't worry about it, every child is different. My son was older too when his started loosing his teeth, like second grade. He is 11 now and still losing teeth that his friends have lost a long time ago. He was almost 11 months old before his first tooth appeared. I have always heard that the later a child gets their teeth, the longer they have them before they come out. Don't worry about it. They will come out when ready.
Reply:There is no "average" age. Some children begin as early as four years some don't start until they were eight. I was seven when I lost my first tooth. My daughter was five. It just depends upon the child.
Reply:6-7 Usually---don't panic if they aren't ready yet..... the adult teeth will pop through in due time and push those baby ones out... he will be lisping before you know it.....
my daughters 10 and she has just one baby tooth left
Reply:He's fine. My daughter was 14 and still had 5 baby teeth. They scheduled her to have them removed because she was getting braces. 2 days prior to the surgery she lost one. She didn't get her teeth until later than my other two. He's only 6 he will be fine. Let mother nature work her magic.
Reply:It varies from child to child. If your child was late getting his baby teeth in, then it'll take longer for him to lose them as well. Some people never lose their baby teeth. If you have serious questions, ask your dentist.
Reply:YEAH!!! My son is 7 and he has lost several already. However, the longer they can hold on to those baby teeth the better off they are. Their teeth will be healthier. Don't worry and if you can't help but worry just give his dentist a call to ease your mind.
Reply:well at 6 he should have seen his dentist about 12 times already what do they say,
Reply:I didn't loose my first tooth until I was nine!
Reply:I didn't start losing my teeth until I was like 7 or 8 years old. I have read somewhere that the longer it takes for teeth to come in (wether you're an infant getting their first teeth or a child losing baby teeth to get adult teeth) the healthier and stronger they will be. (I haven't had a cavity since before I lost all my baby teeth.) So no worries mom!!
Reply:kids loose teeth at differant ages. my son got teeth early- 3 months so naturally he lost the first ones at an early age, 5 years.
Reply:Everything happens in it's time don't worry. The average is when child are about 6-7 I lost my first teeth in my birthday when I was 8.
Reply:if youe so worried i suggest sugarcane. it makes you bite to peel it and its fun. i lost 2 teeth at once from biting them
Reply:My son will be 9 in September and has only lost 4 teeth so far and he lost them this year. He has like 4 that are loose.
Reply:My son is 9 and he's only lost 2 teeth. He'll probably have to get them all pulled. I had to, in fact, I still have one baby tooth left and I'm 41.
